LOL yeah it is daunting but fun when you see the final product! Good luck on your consultation with Jennifer, I hope you get a lot of your questions and concerns answered, our fist meeting was with Monica and I'd say we got a lot accomplished on that first phone call.

HELP! haha So i had my meeting w/ TA Jennifer and it went really well but I guess i'm not prepared for all that I have going through my mind.

I'm scared about booking too early but Jennifer stated that I'm able to lower the price twice... Could guys give me some feedback about once you booked did you watch the prices daily? With a family a five, i'm already budgeting 10k for the vacation/hotel alone. I"m afraid that once I book...am I doing it to prematurely for a Dec 2011 wedding. OR do i need to get over myself and just book it :P

I at least have the date and my heart set on the room w/ the separate kids room in the Italian village.

So much to decide. Did you find out guest having a hard time paying for the trip? A lot of my bridesmaid are in college and I know money is a concern for them. Thanks again guys, just need to vent b/c sometimes i get overwhelmed!

Wish I could help MellieG but Im not really sure how much the price changes, I think it just really depends on the month you get married, our wedding is booked for april which is way higher than may and june, we booked ours about 10 months before, we booked in June for our April 2011 wedding.  And yes I am finding that its hard to get people to pay for this trip, turks and caicos is pretty expensive not to mention april is a very expensive time to go as well, I didnt quite realize this until after everything was booked, but I am finding that the people who are really close to us are still paying to go so if they really want to be there they will find a way to do it.  Thats why we sent out our STDs as soon as we booked our wedding so people could save money if they wanted to go.

Hi Mellie, We booked two years in advance and gave our guests 2 years advance notice.  We only invited immediate family and less than 6 close friends.  I think the deals realitively stay the same with Beaches (from what I've seen the past year since I've booked) and if people really want to go, they will find a away to go.  We knew the date we wanted so that is another reason I booked that early, plus I like to be organized!

OK so it sounds like I just need to get over myself and book my wedding :) I know my immediate family members and close friends will definetly show.

What is STDs? Lol sorry i'm clueless. Once I book, I guess I need to start working on the invitations..I'm guessing that is what you're trying to tell me :)

Did you find that w/ this early advance notice, it has helped people?

Thanks guys!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
