I'm considering doing DIY invites but want to see what's out there first at a good price to save me from stressing over DIY ones. Or semi DIY would be better.

Did you order off of a website, and if so which one?

Or buy from a store?

I'm on a budget and I've seen some websites are ridiculously expensive for some paper and ink :)

Thanks!

I ordered the pockets and envelopes from envelopments.com which was more than I expected and the paper it was printed on was from a local store. I love that they have mix an match items that fit into each other which is easier for you but will cost a bit more than if you cut yourself. There is also pockets and cards.com (I Think) online which a lot of girls here have used. Try to get sample paper to make sure you like it and order for as much as you can at once for all projects to minimize shipping costs.

Find a design you like first, you may not need complicated pieces and think about how many you have to make after 30 I was getting tired.

I ordered mine from a company called Stephita. It was these reviews that made me order from them.

Mine are not in yet but I have seen all the proofs and I am so excited to get them. I went in person to their store in Toronto and picked everything out personally. I know they have some stores in Cali too. They worked out to about $5.00 a invite including reply cards and envelopes, inserts, ribbon corners and envelope lining, etc.

It really depends on what sort of invite you are looking to do....

I did my own DIY passport save the dates, and learned that yes, i could do invites myself - but could not be bothered again with the stress of putting them all together plus everything else (I need 125 invites).....so i found The Stylish Scribe on this site and I have been working for a few weeks now with Jessica - she is awesome. I got my sample last week and LOVED it!

I have also used storkie.com.....that is where we got the shower invitations. their stuff is great too - but they do not do pocketfolds.

I used David's Bridal invitations - simple and they came out very nice. I used accent color Red since that was my wedding color. It looked very nice and pretty.

I did DIY Ceremony Programs and Welcome Booklets which were honestly a pain and not worth the time/work to do. It looked nice but I regret not ordering them since it was so time consuming.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
