Would the $200 not come off the balance of the package you choose?....

We had our confirmation today from the photographer. We have to pay $300 deposit on that but he said he is happy for me to pay it in a month or so and i can do it via paypal which pleases me cos i have an account with them and know it is secure i think we will pay the balance in travellers cheques as i've heard they charge you on a credit card!

Harrison's suit came today! (well waistcoat and trousers to match FI's).. to be honest i dont think it will need too much alteration in 6months time as it is quite small as it is :o)....

I see some lovely bridal (dress) jewellery in Debenhams at the weekend. I am thinking of only getting the necklace and braclet though. It's so delicate and pretty. Not to fussy as my dress has alot of detail at the top just thought i might feel naked with no necklace and hair up.... If i get i will post pics..

Going MOB shopping on saturday! Can't wait to see mummy trying on dresses :o)

Unfortunatly the $200 would not be refunded and also wouldnt be taken off the total cost because the $200 would be paid direct to the hotel and i am paying and booking the wedding through First Choice so i would be paying $200 for them to just hold a date and do nothing else really.

Nicy....I am exactly like you at the mo not sure what i am supposed to be doing should really write a list but i don't know what to put on it, i keep thinking to myself as well is it not to early for me to be buying things for my wedding which is 16 months away which seems an age away right now.

Oh i see, thats a bit cheeky isn't it. Oh i would wait then... as frustrating as it is.....

I think if you see something you like then buy it. It doesn't matter if its 16months away. I started planning about 2 yrs before our wedding... I would rather have things bought than do it last minute. We fly out to Mexico in May and i'm planning on getting everything i can done by xmas this yr. All i want to have to do next yr is have my dress fittings. Get my flowergirl dress/shoes and have Harrison fitted for his suit. I think after xmas the time will fly till our wedding and i want to just sit back relax and enjoy the run up....

Morning all

Thats good advice! the more you do earlier, the less stress you'll have coming up to the day. i started planning in May 2009 and we get married 30th July 2010. there are still things to do (and in a way, being organised so far in advance free's up your time, so you then start thinking of what else you can do! ha ha!) but it's stress free. everything else that's 'left to do' isn't important, it'll be a nice touch, but if it doesn't happen it's no big deal.

my WC has been in much more contact now, emails and questions, which is great!

i am making luggage tags this week and i'm going to post them the week before the wedding, with just a note saying 'we can't wait to see you in Mexico' and the tag.

Nicky i was lucky the lady in the shop fitted me in.I will post pictures as soon as my son has a few mins to show me(again)

As far as my hair im finding this the hardest part.I have bought a veil from a fellow member and it matches my dress colour wise which was a fluke i bought it before my dress.

My hair hasnt grown enough its now about two inches longer than in my profile picture.

Quite honestly i think i may go with just flowers. It seems that way at the moment.I like hair vines has anyone seen them?I have a picture of Eva Longhuh.gif?? with a pretty hair do i think ill go with something along those lines

AHHHHHHHHH my hair is driving me mad.

Good news i stopped in the village after getting my bloods done and found a hot pink parasol i bought it £10!!!! and then went into another shop and found a hot pink clutch bag so two more things done.

As far as the other parasols ive found some on ebay

A question for you all i have a mix of ladies as guests,in age i mean i.e both mums late sixtys, family friend late sixtys a friend whos forty another close to 40.Then three at 22,19,18 then Pauls girls (bridesmaids) could i just buy five for the young girls or should i buy them for all the women? Im not sure my mum will want want its more about me wanting them to have them

Bridal Hair Vine Crystals and Pearls

Fantastic news on finding the parasol, great find :-) Personally i dont think you would need to get them for all the other women, i dont think they would be used and may cost you a fair bit to do that, i think its fab for you as the bride and will look brilliant in your wedding pix, but personally i would go for hand held fans myself have you thought about these? These would probably be used more i should think? here are a few links

Cant believe they charge $200 just to save the date but it cant go towards your wedding etc?!! As soon as they come out with FC i would try to book ASAP because the earlier you get your date in the better :-)

I will probably go for ages wondering what to do then like Michelle says have a spat where i get loads done.. Well i hope that is the caes anyway!!! :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
