Can you tell I work in customer services - lol!! x

Yes, im with you, mine was about £400 difference booking with TA than if i went direct, but i have piece of mind that if anything goes wrong like volcano... through TA we would be covered and whole thing can be moved... direct through hotel we'd loose everything if we couldnt make it etc, you get the picture... :-) but as you say it worth a shot!!!!

fingers crossed for you x

OMG dont say that. It will cause more family problems if we can't have FI's brother and sister as witness'. Great. I'm gonna have to check this one out with our hotel.

Herbie - what a cheek! £600 OMG that is out of order

 Thanks Michelle :-)

The thing is check it out with your TA/Hotel at least MIL and rest of them cant blame you.... ITS their rules not yours....Im really not sure if it does differ resort to resort so its definatly worth chaecking out.... Let ua know :-) x

ARSE, our 4 witnesses are supposed to be my brother, antony´s sister, and the couple who introduced us. I already gave all their details to our wc with the relationships who they were to us, and they never said anything, so i guess we´ll see when we get there..... would make it difficult singling out 2 more from the rest of our friends who are going tho......

3 months on tuesday til we get married.... how fast has time gone this year!!!!

I contacted my hotel and they said the witness' can be related!!! She said the only restriction is they have to be there 3 days before to sign documents etc. So check with your resort!

I can't find my (really) old emails but i'm sure i read we can have anyone be witness'. I'm hoping it's different rules for different hotels here cos my MIL will hit the roof if her son and daughter can't be witness'. I dont want to be falsed to have SIL as bridesmaid NOW!!!!!! I have emailed the hotel and the TA to find out. I'm so sure i read it was OK otherwise we wouldn't have asked them. I have my fingers x'd we can.

Kerry i think you ask who you like i dont know if there is a definate rule on witness' i could be wrong. Most weddings i've been to it's been the brothers/sisters or best friends.

Obviously going abroad with a small group we are limited to who we can ask!

And yes that woman was SO RUDE... you should of said "errr HELLO i am standing here" (bit**)!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
