Hi ladies hope you are all well? Welcome to all the newbies, this sight will become your best friend!lol We were told by our nurse that we had to have Typhoid, Tetnus and Hep A for Mexico that's it. Michelle those pink shoes are lovely, pink always wins :-) The shotglasses what a bargain and they look very good. Hankies for men thats a good idea I was a bit stuck on what to get them. Lyndsey what things did you get approved that Angie said no to?? Grace (new WC) told me we dont get and promotions because we get room rate discount, did you cos I never. Well after a shopping trip on Monday I got hollies flower girl bag from Debenhams and her sandals from Next. They are lovely pink flower sandals which match the colour on her dress.

Hi everyone,

I am new to this website - recommended by Nicyx - feel as though I am in wedding chat heaven! LOL We are getting married Oct 2011 at Riu Palace Mexico - anyone else getting married there?

We are traveling through Thomson and when I spoke to them regarding birth certificates last week as we have lost our originals she said we would need to take original copies which I have ordered through ips.gsi.gov.uk for about £10 each -she said they didn't need to be appositlized but to call back about a month before traveling

to see if the rules have changed xx

WOW don't log on for two days & so much to catch up on!!

Ok firts thing first, Michelle I think am in love with your shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!  They are the most gorgeous pair of pink shoes ever, I keep going back & looking at them, fab fab fab!!  & shot glasses BARGAIN of the week or what??  Like Nicy I would definitely keep mine.  I like the idea of hankies & your right I think the men would appreciate something to stop the sweat dripping!!

For our hotel we would just need birth certificates (un apostilled & legalised) & passports if Richard hadn't had a name change.  As he has we had to pay £68 to have  his papers legalised & apostilled by the foreign office & then £231 to be translated into spanish then the $200 blood tests in resort.  Is is a bit extra we had to pay out for but when you consider the average wedding in the UK costs £18K it seemed a small price to pay....lol!!

Harrisons little suit came today so cute, I'll have to take a picture of him in it!!  Oh that Phenergan medicine my doctor recommended I get it!!  It is traditionally a motion sickness & allergy medicine but also knocks little ones out.....we have 11 children travelling in our party so after a couple of hours on the plane I am going to be like Mary Poppins & get my spoon & medicine out & give them all a dose!!....lol  It is definitely on my 'must have list'.....am going to try it out before though as like Jo says in a small percentage of children it does have the opposite effect......I bet that Harrison will be in that percentage & be rampaging down the aisles!!  Everyone around us on the aeroplane is going to hate us anyway with 39 adults & 11 children all together....lol

Has anyone heard much about the hairdresser/make up artist at the Palace Mexico? As you can see I have very curly/frizzy hair and I am dreading having my hair done for the day - can't even find anyone who can do it nicely in the UK! LOL I will definitely be looking like Monica!

What is Phenergan? I have a 2 yr old traveling with us and I know she will be ok for about the first 20 mins - not sure about the other 10 hrs! LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
