OMG she is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bless her. I love the dress. How cute!! x

hhhmmm with the bridesmaid thing i'm not sure. I think it depends on how close you are to her and how upset she'd be at the AHR if she wasn't in the same dress as the others? It's a hard one but dont forget this is your wedding and it's not about pleasing everybody else. Good luck.

Herbie Holly looks absolutely gorgeous!! so sweet!!

On the bridesmaid thing I would probably include her & get a dress for the AHR.....why don't you ask her if she would like a dress, I'm sure she would be thrilled that you thought of it.

Michelle I am going to start slimming world....tried WW but got sick of counting points!!  My friend has lost loads on it!!  Good Luck :)

Feel a bit stressed this week......excitement seems to have died down & now I am stressing about how many people are coming, organising everyone......will everyone get on.......think I need to go & try on dress again to get me back in the mood :(

Hi Ladies

thanks for all the advice on rechoosing a hotel.  Me and FI sat down over the weekend and we have shortlisted to Dreams and Riu Palace Las Americas, just going to go through the wedding locations and choose the best one for us.

Vicki....I love the poem but unfortunately I am not poetic at all so can't help you with this one!

Herbie...your daughter is too cute, bless her she looks like she is loving wearing her dress.

Michelle....good luck with slimming world x

I just wondered if anybody else is concerned about these blood tests...

I am getting mixed messages on what they test for exactly, I originally thought they tested for HIV and Syphilis and if either of you tested positive you can't get married legally.  Now I am hearing that they test for ALL STD's and if either of you have anything wrong you can't get married legally....this seems a bit extreme to me as people can have things like Chlamydia or Ghonnerea (sorry to get all icky on you) and never know because they don't have any symptoms or signs and then get to Mexico and be told they can't get married...I understand the HIV and Syphilis thing but don't understand the all STD thing.  I mean how is it affecting them if you do have a 'curable' STD.

The obvious thing is to get checked out here before hand, which i'll do for peace of mind, but i've also heard of horror stories where they've got the results wrong...i.e.couples have got tested in Mexico and the results have come back as positive so they haven't been allowed to get married and then when they've got back to England to be tested the results have been wrong.

Can anybody clarify for me exactly what they do test for and is it from a reliable source because different hotel websites say different things and i'm confused.com....i don't want to get to Mexico and find out we can't get married (not that i think there is anything wrong with either of us) it is just another thing to stress about though!!!

herbie76  - OMG!!!!!!!!!!! she is adorable and so is the dress!!!! AWWWWWWW!!!!!!

michelle - I've been thinking about slimming world.. i just think £5 for someone to weigh you is alot... let me know how you get on i might change my mind!!

waybuloo  - Awww try not to stress about the details think of the most important stuff that your gonna marry the man you love! Go try on your dress or look for wedding stuff like what flowers you want etc. You wont be able to change it if people dont get on anyway so no use worrying about it!

char79uk  - let us know which you pick! How far in advance can you book them?

I heard the blood tests were for HIV other related diseases and to make sure your not related! I haven't really thought about it to much to be honest.

As for slimming world - I have a friend on it. The new 'extra easy plan' and she has lost 13.5lb in 8 weeks. My BM's sister has lost 1st 5lb's in 10 weeks. I'm just thinking if i can lose a 1lb a week i will have lost a stone by xmas!!!! That's the plan anyway! Thanks for all the good luck wishes. Kerry i do think the same £5 just for someone to weigh you but i suppose it motivates you to. I think as i'm a bit of a porker at the mo and i am getting married in 8 months it's worth it. Desperate times means desperate measures and all that blah blah....

I will let you all know how i get on. Totally the wrong week to join with a meal out friday and my birthday next wed's but hay hoe, you gotta start somewhere right? lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
