Hey girls!  Need help...My fiance and I are staying in Dominican Republic for 9 nights with the wedding being somewhere in the mid point.  we are considering changing resorts (and can save just a little $ by doing so) to an equally nice resort after we are married since the trip is serving as our honeymoon as well.  I want to switch for a change of scenery to feel more like a honeymoon and to escape from some of our guest who will be staying the entire time.  My FI thinks it will be too much of a hassle.  Thoughts please!!!

Rose!!! I've been thinking about your lots!! I met up with Leslie the other day and we were talking about you! heheh

I hope your AHR goes perfectly!!

I'm leaving Saturday morning to head to Mexico! Everything is ticked off my to-do list, except the Welcome Letters for the OOT bags! I'm starting to worry about all the stuff we are bringing down though.. i keep looking at it all and I don't know how it is going to fit in our luggage and I'm sure we'll be over our weight restrictions!!

My AHR is on saturday, I can't believe after all the talking, ranting, raving, and slaving - this is it.

I just picked up our wedding bands and they're perfect!

Can't wait for the remainder of my etsy items to come in and complete my planning thread. I finished painting my cake topper last night and will be putting the finishing touches on (what I think) is the last of my DIY maddness. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself after all this! Hmmm.....home improvements maybe?

here we go ladies!!! exciting stuff!!!

FI and I are changing resorts half way through our trip for our honeymoon! We are used to traveling where we stay 3-4 days per place and then move on, so I think a week at our wedding resort may make us go stir crazy! I'm a big fan of experiencing and seeing new and different places! We are staying at a place that is a lot cheaper and closer to scuba diving and other activities that we want to do on our honeymoon!

I think a change of scenery would be nice, especially since some of your guests will still be there! You need some alone time.. its your honeymoon!

I'm leaving saturday morning too!!

I keep worrying that I'm going to forget our wedding rings!! I'm nervous about having them in our carry-on, and not on our actual fingers! I actually have WR written on my hand right now so I don't forget them!! haha

Oh and sunscreen - its always super expensive at the resorts if you forget it!

I am all for changing scenery ... Specially if you have slightly annoying guests around.

We are staying 11 nights at the same resort just to be able to spend time with some very dear friends who are coming a long way to be with us (Australia, UK, you name it!).

I am freaking out about packing too. I have been collecting stuff in the spare bedroom and now have to find a way to fit them in the suitcases.

My backup plan is to leave a key with a trusted friend, so if I forgot anything they can come and get it.

We are leaving on Saturday and FI wanted us to get massages Friday night !!!! Men sometimes are not very bright. I HAVE TO PACK!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
