I also faced this same situation and despite being soo close to my 100 person capacity already, I (we) still chose to send out formal invitations to all our guests, confirmed and those we knew aren't coming.... the only problem NOW is that I didn't order ANY extra invitations and not only do I not have a copy to save/keep for myself, but my FMIL is wanting another 10 invites to send to her friends who aren't coming?!?!

Here's the cover of our passport invites: (FULL POST: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/67650/jr-s-passport-invites-finally)P1050763.JPG

Now that Christmas is over and done with, and my wedding is the next big thing it feels so much closer!! I've had absolutely no stress what so ever in this whole planning process. But now I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed!

I designed my passport invites about 3 months ago. I'm just getting ready to print and start assembling them! However, FI and a couple of my friends seem to think it is pointless to send our the invites because almost all our friends and family treated the STD we sent out back in July as the invite. We already know exactly who is coming and who isn't going to be able to come. Everyone has already RSVP'd and booked their trip if they are coming. For those who have already told us they aren't going to be able to come, would it be rude to still send them the invite? And our friends who are coming, they might be annoyed that they have to send back an RSVP when we already know they will be there! Should I still send out the invites?!? I'm so confused.

I'm in the exact same situation.  Everyone treated our STD from last June as an invite basically since it was full of information, and those that are going are booked but we have a couple people that are still deciding.  Everyone else has already told us they can't be there.  I however went ahead and sent out invitations so I can get an official RSVP from everyone anyway.

Hannah the brochure looks great.

I just uploaded my pre-travel brochure onto vistaprint to have them print it, as well as photo-share cards, luggage tags, and key/ tip holder cards.  I'll upload all the designs later onto here.  Invitations went in the mail on Tuesday as well as the STD for the AHR.  I also had my second fitting today and it's amazing to put my dress on and actually be able to walk in it. Lots of things are getting checked off my list this month!

re: sending out invites after people have booked

- if you want to, why not?
i think it's nice to give people something formal, that way it's more like they're going for your wedding, not they're going on a trip and it just so happens your wedding is there.......well, that's what my MOH told me when i was debating.... =)

Now that I got the invites out.... next on my list is working on the OOT bags, welcome book, bridesmaids gifts, translation of documents, and LOTS of Vistaprint'ing!!!!

May Wedding Ladies, AZUL SENSATORI ALERT

Not trying to cause Panic (Even though I got a little panicky myself last night) My TA called and her Group Sales rep for Karisma told her that they are showing NO availability the couple days prior and after my wedding (May 15th) Today my TA (THE LITTLE PITBULL SHE IS) is researching to see if the resort is full for real or it's just group contractors eating up blocks of rooms on hold.

I only panic because technically I have 5 more couples that want to book and it there is no room at the inn then  so be it. I guess last night I was somewhere between really sad and dissappointed and somewhat releaved. I mean I sent my invites out in August. I warned people every other month that May was a SUPER popular time and the resort would fill up.

What I feel the most sad about is those 5 couples are all my FI people. All my friends booked back in October.

We ordered our bands last night :)

Guys are so strange sometimes. My fiance wanted a tungsten band with carbon fiber. $40 on Amazon. Oh well, good for me! I got my eternity diamond band in platinum :)

You have to give Blue Nile a chance. Their prices are unbeatable. They have a promotion for Valentine's Day. Code: GIFT11 will get you $150 off any purchase over $1,000. Plus free next day shipping and no tax!

I'm in a seach of my dress and went to 1 place already, but got so depressed with the way I look. I gained so much weight, tried 10 dresses and all looked horrible in my body. I need to start working on a diet plan for me this week because I don't want to cry anymore

 This weekend, my plans are:

joining the gym

work on welcome totes with first aid, t-shirts, koozies, etc

and see what other ideas you've shared so I have a better, stronger and more sucessful planning

I can't thank you all enough for all ideas and sharing your feelings. I feel the same way as you all

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
