Hey Jlarruda,

When are you getting married in November? We are also getting married in November 2011 and staying at the MC or ME. Not sure which one yet. I've also contemplated staying at a closer resort to the JellyFish restaurant because we too want to get married and have our dinner at the restaurant. :)

Not that much expensive, you get more actually.  For Menu II, its $45 and they pick one main course, for the buffet Mayte said it would be $49.50 I believe, and it is 2 entrees and 3 main courses.. rather than each guest picking one main course.

Mel, we're staying at the Majestic Elegance, at the Elegance Club.. we're getting married at Jellyfish on 11/12/11... we originally wanted to get married on 11/11/11 because its Veterans Day, my FI is active military so it would have meaning, but Majestic was booked.. and Jellyfish already was booked and had 11/12 open.. we probably would be able to get the free wedding Majestic offers, but they're booked the weekend we want, and then I heard Majestic does like 4 weddings a day.  I've heard a lot of good reviews for ME, our TA actually was just there in Nov. and I just found out one of our friend's cousin is going on vacation there in March..  if you have any questions, just send me a PM.. especially since our weddings are so close together.

Wow, I'm so excited to find another girl on here that's getting married close to our date!! And at the same place!! Too funny! I still haven't heard back from Mayte at the JellyFish. Should I be worried at this point? I have MC tentatively booked on Nov 5th for a beach ceremony, but I want to move my entire wedding to the JF restaurant. So my date will obviously change, but now I'm freaking out that the restaurant will soon booked up. Grrrr...maybe I should just call the restaurant??

When was the last time you heard from Mayte? we haven't done our pre invoice yet but Mayte said my day is closed.. has Mayte closed your day? if she has I don't think you have anything to worry about.. just talk to her.  I know when I didn't hear from her for a while I sent her a message on the Jellyfish facebook page and she got back to me.

OK ladies, this is my 3rd attempt in contacting Mayte. Let's keep our fingers crossed that she responds to me!

Kimberly: For your wedding ceremony, did you have a civil or symbolic ceremony? And if it was civil, who did you contact for this service? Or does Mayte arrange this for us?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
