My dress is in ... doesn't fit :(

Recommended Posts

I'm with all the ladies...its frustrating and disappointing BUT put those feelings aside and stay focused bc there is no way you should have to pay for ANY alterations at this point. Just remember it's a lot easier to take in than to take out. Post pics when you can :)

Thanks everyone! You're right, they HAVE TO fix it! I won't take no for an answer. I will try to post a picture when I figure out how :)

I feel your frustration, but it will be fixed. It is only two dress sizes too big and they can totally alter that no problem. My dress was ordered two dress sizes bigger than I would normally wear and when it came in it was soooo big I was nervous for months as to how they were going to alter it without ruining the look of the dress. I picked it up this past Saturday and they did a fab job! Looks great and is safely hanging in my closet.

Like the others already said, just make sure they do it for free. :)

ugh what a frustrating situation! I would be livid! They better do the alterations for free! It was totally their mistake! I hope they do the right thing and fix everything for you! Best of luck! love.gif

ugh I'm so sorry!!! that's friggin' brutal! I would even demand that they give you a portion of the money back for the dress, I mean this is so ridiculous.

WOW! I would have been just as upset if I was you - hopefully they'll rectify the situation asap and be able to alter your dress so it fits you like a glove! Good luck and keep us posted :)

Ugh! How frustrating! But I'm relieved to see that she didn't order a size too small. She'd better alter it for free!!!! Do take pics and I know you'll look fabulous once it's all taken in!

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good  I enjoyed my stay at both, but personally I liked the ambiance better at Dreams La Romana.  In the past 10 years or so Destination weddings have become very popular and the resorts do 100's each year. 60 guests with approx 30 rooms or so is a great group, but when the resorts have 500+ rooms they do not look at it as a large group. Most resorts are pretty set when it comes to what they offer in their wedding packages, but some may do an upgrade for the bride & groom if it's available. The benefit of doing a group block is you have the opportunity to earn group amenities based on the number of guests & rooms that book at the resort.  Please let me know if you have any other questions. • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
