ok so we are having a very small wedding 10 people total including us. Back during the end of Nov beginning of Dec we decided on Bahamas, narrowed things down to finally deciding on the Sheraton Nassau beach. I had been speaking with the WC and emailing back and forth, things were going well until Dec 18. That is the last time that I've heard from her. I emailed a few times, then on the third email i received a email back "with the vacation alert". Ok she's gone on vacation for the holidays, but her email also said she checked her email daily, her vacation went by with no response. Fine guess she figured she would deal with it when she gets back. Well she's been back for a few days now and nothing. Not even a quick note saying i read your email. What do i do? My wedding day is or i guess was Feb 18, we have all booked our flights, its a little over a month away. I really don't know what to do? I just want to cry!!

So upset just want to cry

Usually when I email someone and get an 'away on vacation' reply - I just resend the exact email again when I know they have returned. When I go on vacation I can have hundreds of emails to read through and yes I go through them every day or two and I don't delete the ones I intend to respond to...but sometimes some of them just get lost in the cracks. My suggestion is to email her again to touch bases. If she still doesn't respond, then get some credit on Skype and give her a phone call. Good luck!

Did she give you a phone number you can call? Sometimes it takes a while for people to respond to emails. Hopefully you will hear from her soon.

Maybe shes a bit backed up with other weddings atm. By no means is this an excuse but maybe an explanation as to why she probably hasnt gotten back to you yet. My suggestion is just give her a ring ASAP and check whats going on it is understandable why your so worried since your wedding date is about a month away. Just breathe and relax everything will work out.

I have actually left her a message and sent an email since her return. I understand she is probably very busy, but I am getting heat from my guests and ofcourse FI who want to book their rooms, I'm starting to feel like an unorganized idiot. Plus that knot in my neck keeps getting bigger and bigger!!!

I'd call/email the head of group sales or the hotel manager. That's what I did when I couldn't get a hold of the WC and that made her call me asap.

We are getting a group rate I guess by going through them directly. We just thought because our group was so small it would be pretty easy, contact hotel tell them what we wanted find out what our guests needed to do to book for the rates quoted and done. It's really not working out like i planned. |

Upon hearing my story the Manager said the WC's office was next to her's and put me on hold, WC dropped what she was doing and took my call. After that we made appointments for our next conversations.
Good Luck and Congratulations
