Looking for a DJ in Riveria Maya area...

Hi,

 

I contacted one DJ, but his prices were higher than other brides had referenced and I still wanted to shop around.

 

Looking for an English speaking DJ/MC in the Riviera Maya area. I am not having any luck while searching this site =(

 

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

They have one affiliated with the resort, but he doesn't speak English. =(

Check out the vendor page on BDW...DJ Mannia is a vendor on here and so is Doremix. Do a search and you will find some reviews

I am using DJ DOremixx. I found his prices to be very reasonable. If you do a search on here, there are lots of reviews.

DJ Bob just went up in prices. He was $400 for 4 hours and now $600 =(

 

Plus I heard that he only asks for like 10-20 songs to get a 'feel' for your style and then plays his own stuff.

 

We are VERY eclectic and don't want too many 'traditional' wedding songs like the electric slide, the wonder, twist and shout...it's not for us.

 

I am still debating…thanks ladies…

 

Ask999 how are DJ DOremixx prices? And do they announce in English?

I have also just booked DJ Doremixx for my May 7, 2010 wedding! He is wonderful and very responsive! I just sent him my deposit yesterday! He seems to be very on top of things and has asked us for a list of songs that we want played. He quoted me $650 for four hours but it includes a lot of stuff including cold fireworks which will look cool in pictures!

I was just quoted $550 for 4 hours (got the quote today) from DJ Bob. I hope the prices aren't fluctuating from bride to bride!


I was also quoted today from Ivan with Doremixx, and I got a quote for $650 (he also sent pictures and hands out balloon favors and has the bubble/smoke machine for indoors included as mentioned above this post)

DJ Mannia was $900 (got that one a couple of weeks ago).

All were VERY quick to respond and had good reviews all over the place. I was kind of hoping one or two wouldn't be available on our date so the decision was easier!

Christina thanks. The smoke and extras aren't really our thing. And MC’ing in English is on the top of our list.

 

It might be DJ Bob, but again he was $600. I wonder why it's different. ;-/

 

I wrote him back regarding special requests, like specifically playing the songs we request and not randomness. Also I have a friend who will be playing the guitar (Jack Johnson - Better Together) for our first dance and I needed to know if he could hook up to his speakers =)
