Bad Experience with Discount Mugs!

I ordered my mugs from them too & did not have a problem. With that being said, I agree that yours don't look bad & that as suggested, your guests might appreciate the logo being smaller, but you should have gotten what you ordered & you should be satisfied, especially with something that is used for your wedding.

The first image that you posted, is that the proof from them? I remember submitting my order & then getting a proof before the mugs were made. If that is the proof that they provided you then I would be fighting with them b/c your end product doesn't reflect the proof. Yeah they have stuff in their terms & conditions but you are a customer & its your wedding. I don't see why they wouldn't just take the mugs back & send you what you really want.

I would continue to press them for a resolution that makes you happy!

Everyone always asked me if that was from my wedding. So I prefer the small logo.
Dont fret! They look great still.
I agree with you Jenny about the size of the logo. We will be ordering from discount mugs too and are just getting something along the lines of the date & place because we figured not too many people would want to have a travel mug after the wedding advertising my FI and I.

smile03.gifI understand your disappointment with the colour, but don't worry too much Justustwo, the mugs still look really cute. ... and none of your guests will know any different either.

I ordered from them and was happy with the result. However, I am glad I called them prior to ordering because they advised me of the small print area which I was NOT aware of prior to that. Each mug has a specific area where it can be printed on..which is normally not that big. However, I agree with the other girls and think your mugs still looks nice:)

I agree...and tried to fight them. I even told them I would be posting in this site about them! But they do everything online and they have my money and I have their mugs so...now I feel as though it may be a David and Goliath battle and is it all worth it in the end. BTW, yep, that first picture was the proof that THEY sent me. How far off is that? I think I'm more upset by the colour than the size of the logo. But at some point I guess you have to just shrug your shoulders.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. Now that you mention it, it's true ...who would want a HUGE logo all over their mugs with our wedding dates on it, lol....wish the colour matched better though, I really wanted it in aqua. sad.gif FH is pissed too, he was looking forward to the big logo...but now that i have this new angle on the argument...lol...thanks ladies. xx

I chose the slowest (cheapest!) delivery method - ordered them Sept. 21st and got them this past Tuesday...so that's 3 weeks...

I don't blame you for being upset.....it should have had a pop up window when you designed it showing what it would actually look like, or an email with a proof so you could make changes. That being said, they do look nice and at least the information is correct! I know it is not what you ordered, but as someone else mentioned, your guests will not know the difference and at least your actual wedding day is not spoiled. I was planning to order some things from these guys, so lesson learned....I will be double checking a few things first! Thanks for the heads up:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
