Girl, I have 3 gowns too, so I hope you don't feel that badly now!!! wink.gif

I also completely admit that I jumped the gun, and purchased my 1st gown about 1 month after we got engaged last August. Then, after thinking about it for close to a year, I decided to wear that for our AHR and go with my heart. I bought another gown for the ceremony that was 3X more expensive, but is in every sense of the word my "dream" gown -- even my mother loves it! And then of course, I had to get a $75 cheapie dress off of eBay for my TTD, because I am thinking I want to literally "trash" or throw away the dress instead of bringing home a damp, sandy mess in a trashbag after the TTD shoot!

All I've got to say is really get whatever will make you the most happy, but also keep in mind what Suzy said about at some point we all need to stop looking, just like we've all stopped looking for other men now that we've found our fiances!

I did the exact same thing, one tried it on once and order somewhere else but mine does not come in till late Feb... ugh I have been worrying about not loving it when it comes in but when i showed others my top picks they always pick the one i went with.

I am one of the odd ones I guess. I actually bought mine a year ago and our wedding is a year from now! I saw it online actually and knew it was the one and went and tried on about 5 and ended up with the original one that I had chosen. And I've never looked back. I'm so excited to wear it I think about it all the time I'm obsessed! I have seen dresses that are nice since, but nothing compares to my obsession with the dress I got!

I definitely felt that way!! I ordered my dress in May and it won't be ready until January. About two months ago I started freaking out thinking I bought the wrong dress and I was looking at other dresses that were sooo beautiful, but my moh, SIL and mom all said stop looking at other dresses, the one you picked is gorgeous. Which of course made me feel better for a while. But i was able to "visit" my dress (well the sample of it) at the bridal shop the other day and i just fell in love with it all over again!

Well ladies I just came home to the voicemail that my dress is ready for my first try-on. I have to say I am not sure how I am feeling... I know when I did go dress shopping six months ago, the whole experience of trying on dresses totally freaked me out. I tried on about 20 dresses, not one even close to the dress I am having made. I have no idea how this is going to look on me.... Yikes..... I will call her back next week... If you see a thread next week " my dress makes me look like puff wheat"

THAT"S ME!!!!

Ah I second guess mine all the time, but I dont really even care about my wedding dress.. its just a dress! No matter what you wear you will look beautiful and everyone will ooh and aw over you. Then again I never get those 'its the one' feeling about anything in my life thats material, so I could just be different.

Oh, Jess, I'm so sorry you feel that way! That's tough. I am absolutely sure you look gorgeous in your dress though! And on your big day with your hair, makeup, flowers & adorable yellow shoes you will be stunning!

I really hope that you are pleasantly surprised when you go next week! It's hard when you order a dress months in advance & then have to wait to try it on, and in your case you didn't ever get to see it on! But, I bet it turns out lovely! Just go & get it over with so you know either way and then report back with pictures!! wink.gif Good luck!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one out there feeling this way! I LOVED my dress the day I bought it, 3 months ago. But I see so many dresses I love, maybe I should have waited! Tomorrow I'm actually going to the store to buy my flower hairpiece, and I'm gonna try the dress on again. I hope I feel the same way I did the day I bought it!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
