May 2010 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Karen, we still have some stuff left and we will knock them out this weekend. We are trying to only take four luggage so wish us luck trying to put all of my clothes and his clothes in ONE luggage. Lol. Two of the luggage will be empty after the wedding so it doesn't make sense to bring more than 4 luggage.

I have a sore throat and I'm hoping it will go away. Plus, my mom's plane ticket doesn't match her passport. Sigh. I don't really know the deal but my sister told me last night that it doesn't match. I need to talk to mom today about it.

Amy, I thought you looked radiant and would have not knew that you were sunburned!

Thanks for the reminder - yeah I have 3 bottles of sunscreen but it's on my shopping list for today. Definitely want to have too much of that. We're both fair and although we've been tanning there's nothing like tropical sun to kick your butt.

uh-oh, Di. Grab some Emergen-C stat! Hope that your mom's ticket isn't a problem! Along those lines, one of my BM's just got her passport yesterday! We leave in a week & hers had been stolen months ago & she forgot to get a new one. So she had to get a super expedited one where they have it ready in 24 hrs. I don't even want to know how much that cost.

I had 7 pieces of luggage and brought back 5 because I insisted on bringing back some decor like an idiot. :) Bringing 4 pieces if you can is VERY smart!

I got a sore throat a few days before my wedding that I still have, it must be going around. Take some emergency and try and get some extra rest... I literally partied right through my illness and it's stayed so long because of all the partying I know it.

Is there any way to change the name on her airline ticket? I'd have her call and see if that's possible.

Thank you so much :) I got lucky and my makeup worked out pretty good. I think I freaked out more since I did my own makeup, if it was in a pro's hands I wouldn't have worried so much.

Have your mom call the airline to correct the ticket, they are pretty strict about the passport & ticket matching through security in the US. My ticket originally said "Chrissy" so I had to call & put my full name on so it matched my passport.

Take some Airborne! We were so tired before we left & started that the day before & made it the entire time without getting sick.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
