Cabo should be ok for an asthmatic. It's dry heat and if near PB Sunset Beach it's not nearly as humid as it can be in the Tourist Corridor section. Earth, Sea, and Sky vacations actually publishes a booklet with pics of all of there villas. It's avaiable for free in Cabo! Maybe they can send you one or another bride can pick up for you. I left mine there... sorry!

I also own at PB Sunset Beach and can attest that the grounds, chapel, and area is extremely beautiful. Laura Ortiz, the planner there, isn't the most responsive however. Keep that in mind!

Good luck!

Hi Laurel,

Welcome and congrats on the engagement! You've come to the right place and will find a ton of info, on Cabo, right here! When we were 1st looking into Cabo we were looking into villas but it just was going to be too expensive, however, the idea of getting married in a private villa sounds wondeful! I, unfortunately, threw my villa booklet away. Give them a call and they should be able to send one to you ASAP. Really good pics and descriptions in the booklet.

Happy Planning!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I'm from San Antonio and I went to college just north of Austin in Georgetown. Texas is a great place. If you are moving in the summer, it might be hard to get used to the heat and humidity unless you come from Atlanta, DC, or the like. If you are moving to the Austin-San Antonio area, there are really a lot of fun things to do. I can tell you more if you are interested.

Hi,

Thanks for the information on the villas. They are all so beautiful that it is hard to pick. Have you seen any of them in person? What is Villa Grande like? One thing I'm curious about is that I have read in a few places on this forum that the villas are a pricey option. Are there hidden costs that I don't know about besides the rental fee and perhaps an event fee? We are probably going to have 40 family members/close friends. Many will be staying at PB Sunset Beach or Pacifica, but we hope the wedding party can all fit in the villa where we have the reception. I'm not sure whether to go for a higher priced or a lower priced villa. It would be nice to be in one that really takes your breath away, but then again it would be great to be able to pay for our wedding party's lodging. So, it is kind of a trade-off.

We thought we would have the wedding on the Pedgregal beach and the reception at the villa - not sure yet. Sunset Beach is also an option, but it seems really expensive (like 270pp for dinner). Are you planning on having a caterer at the villa? Any recommendations? We aren't sure yet whether we will have a catered event or a casual BBQ.

I hope I didn't ask too many questions...

Best wishes,

Laurel

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
