Hi My name is Callie

And I am so lost with all of this wedding planning. Me and my Fiance' Skyler would like to travel with close friends and family to get married. We have not yet decided on a place. We have a budget and would like to get the most for our money. If anyone has suggestions please post. We are looking at 15 or less guest to attend our wedding. I want beach, flowers, small reception, rehersal dinner, hair and makeup, and just the best of my life.

We would like to get married as close to July 16th as possible.

Thank you everyone

Welcome and Congrats! Some places that are not too expensive for a DW are Jamaica, DR, and Mexico. You can find a resort that has packages that fit your budget. An all inclusive resort may be good for you since you plan to have a small group. This way you can have your reception and rehearsal dinner at one of the resort restaurants and save some $$.

Start out by making a list of things that you MUST have and what you would like your wedding to look like. Speak to a Travel agent to get information about possible locations that will fit into your travel budget ( for you and guests).

Check out the forums on here- you will find so much info and friendly people -it will help you with the planning.

Good Luck!!

Sounds like you have a great start! If you are wanting July... check out weather. I know in Puerto Vallarta where I got married it is very hot and humid... but have heard Belize is nice that time of year. Not sure about Jamaica but check that out. Then check to see where the more reasonable places to fly are.

All inclusive or not?

You may be able to get a pretty good deal with a smaller group like yours! It is a lot to take in, so start by figuring out where youd like to go. Congrats!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
