Hair colour opinions!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

So I just posted pics of my dress but I really want your honest opinions as to what hair colour I should have for the wedding. Here's my hair now in my actual dress (not fitted yet):

And here's my hair much closer to my natural hair colour back when I was trying on dresses in February:

I really like my hair blonde but I've only been that way for a few months. My Mom, my MOH and FH's BM (my best guy friend) all keep telling me that I'll look better with dark hair. Please let me know what you think!

Tough call because you look really great with both colors. I've always had the same problem, I love being blonde...but people always tell me I look better with darker hair closer to my natural hair color. So to compromise, I am doing a few highlights around the face. You might want to post a few more pics closer to your face. You look rather striking with the auburn hair in the second picture, but that is only one pic. It seems to bring out your eyes and cheekbones. However, you have your makeup done in the second pic. However, if YOU like the blonde, you should go with it......everyone has so many opinions!!!

I love your dark hair - it really is stunning. But you need to feel beautiful on your wedding day, so that means going with what colour makes YOU feel your best. I voted brown with highlights because maybe that would make you feel good. But you'd have to be careful with h ighlights that they don't look fake.

ugh! I always end up getting tons of highlights to be mostly blonde, but then I can't afford the upkeep so after 3-4 months of growout I go dark again. and whenever I do, not only am I overloaded with compliments, but I feel so much prettier and confident about my hair! so why do i go back blonde again??

as far as you, your dress is beautiful but I agree we need some closeups! from those 2 pic. I would say dark. esp for a February wedding, it's in the winter and even tho you'll be on the beach that week, you'll feel out of season eveywhere else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
