Some people are amazing, and not in a good way. Hopefully responses like this keep his prized portfolio to a minimum! I'd like to recommend my photographer. We were her first 'destination' wedding, but she did a wonderful job! Links to her blog out below, my teasers pics are a few down.

Wow-- I am sooooo baffled by this e-mail. That is probably one of the most audacious things I've ever read. It's disappointing to see how inapproporately unprofessional some people can be. I agree that it is important to expose these discerning circumstances-- what a total censored.gif.

Speechless. Appalled. Disgusted.

Steph - update the post so the title has studioido.net, Studio I Do and Bryce Jenkinson in the title. That way google picks it up and will be one of the first search items that comes back for other people researching him.

So, it matters if the bride is hot, but not the groom?? And what if the groom is so pretty, he outshines the bride? wink.gif

What an ass who lacks tact. I don't think you should waste much time on him. He ain't worth it, not even to exact a point. Posting his email to you here is enough bad press. There are so many photographers out there who can make anyone look good, which is the true mark of a good photographer.

I did this email to him just now. I think dispite everything I kept my tact in check.

Bryce,

After reading your last email I must say I am appalled. You should be ashamed of yourself. Do you really have the audacity to ask a potential client if they are attractive and/or cheap? That certainly isn't a very good way to do business with questions like that. Although I think I am a fairly attractive person and in fact prepared to spend up to $*K plus travel on a photographer, you do not sound like somebody that we want to spend time with or be around our family and friends on the happiest day of our lives. A professional photographer would be able to create beautiful photos regardless of the person and or amount of money spent at a wedding, epecially among the beautiful beaches of Mexico.

Since you made such strong indications in what you look for in a client I have take the liberty of sharing this information with hundreds of other destination brides in order to save their time and energy before contacting you.

Best of Luck in your future endeavors. I'm sure your perfect portfolio will get you far, just not with the average bride.

Many brides on her have used Misti and have nothing but great things to say. Her websites blog has a wedding that she just did in Tulum as well as a few other destination weddings. I don't have an exact date set yet, but I am going to use her and she honored the promo with a tentative date. I can say this, she is very fast in emailing you back, the communication is great!

Good Luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
