Hi Ladies! I was just wondering if there was a DC metro thread...then POOF here it is! I'm from the Leesburg area, but work in Bethesda. Yes, it is a horrible commute, but thankfully I work early hours and avoid most of the nasty traffic!

 

I am bummed I didn't find this thread earlier, I didn't know the ROTB was on the 31st! Oh well maybe next year :)

OK Ladies I found a new and fresh photographer named Tya Anthony for BD Pics. She is actually friends of my bridesmaid. I've seen pics that she's done but didn't realize that she did them. She is here in Baltimore and She works with a makeup artist to do what are called Diva Glam Partys. For 2 or more Divas the price is $250 per person and includes makeup 90 mins of professional photography, and a 8x6 portfolio of 20 pics, & a free viewing online page. And then you can add on many extras. I will attach links to her website but she emailed the Diva Glam Party price list so I would have to forward that to you. Just email me at [email protected]. I wanted to book them for sometime in September if anyone is interested lemme know ASAP ...

I met up with Big3n09 after all the madness at around 1pm. There was still a lot of brides at 1 but majority of all the dresses were back on the racks. I tried on 4 dressed and bought 1. I Love it, but I don't have any pics and the dress is in Pittsburgh with my mom sad.gif I know Big3n09 bought a dress also! smile29.gif
We had fun, but I don't know if any of the other girls made it.

Hey! Thanks for sharing. I didn't see and BD pics on her site. Has she done them before and does she have any samples of her BD work? I wouldn't need to get them done Till January.

I saw a few on her flickr site but not many... I haven't had a chance to look at that site as much as she sent me the link this morning, and I'm rushing out now but when I get back in I'll check it out for you and let you know....

 

My goal for the day is Bridal party shoes, tin pail for my flower girl and a long tin pail for my guest book post cards as well as my broom for jumping the broom ceremony. Oh and a spoon for my tasting ceremony lol... Oh and a picture frame for my guestbook directions. My sister is gonna hate me after today lol....

I went! We showed up at about 10:30..I can't imagine what it was like when the doors opened b/c I thought it was so crazy! Dresses EVERYWHERE. All over the floor and racks. So many of them were already damaged. I didn't find a dress sad.gif I came very close but I just didn't love it so I decided not to get it. I guess I had a particular style in mind & I got unlucky. I also had to be back by a certain time so I only spent 2 hours looking. But it was still a crazy & fun experience!

I can't believe I just found this thread! I'm in Fairfax.

 

I'm behind on everything -still haven't sent out the STDs and still trying to book vendors. Only thing settled is location & date!

 

I haven't started dress shopping yet! I was thinking around early Dec (have to fly mom in from Cali). Does that seem too late for a May wedding?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
