snorkelling excursion for our guests

Recommended Posts

Jessica,

You guys will have so much fun with Cancun Catamarans. I have talked extensively with the owner & he is so pleasant & helpful. The crew members that he has working for him are just a total blast. The day we spent aboard the Next Wave, was probably one of the most memoriable days of my life; it was sooooo much fun. Have a great time & let us know how it goes.

Hello there! I have some very exciting news...we have finally planned out and finalized our Snorkeling Excursion, and it is going to be AWESOME! We found a wonderful company called Cancun Catamarans, and they have really "hooked us up"! Check out their website...it's Cancun Catamarans, Cancun Catamaran Tours, Cancun Sailing, Sailboats in Cancun, Yachts and Deep Sea Fishing Charters.. Anyway, below is the scoop:

The Snorkeling Excursion will be on Saturday, May 23 (day before the wedding) and will last from 10 AM until 2 PM. We will meet in the lobby of the Hilton Cancun Resort at 9:30 AM for check in. We will have our own PRIVATE CHARTERED 48-foot Catamaran. It will include (for all guests that will be attending the excursion): Round Trip Private Transportation from the Cancun Hilton, Open Bar, Bathrooms onboard, Nice Sound Systems (for music and dancing if you like), Snorkeling and gear, Spinnaker Sail (Parasail), and a full crew just for us (Bartender, Ship driver, and snorkeling guides). Also, we get discounts at different bars and things like that for booking through Cancun Catamarans!

Open Bar: Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Rum Punch, Juices, Sodas, Bottled Water, Cold Beer and more.
Dry Snacks: Assorted Chips You can also bring anything else you like.
Description of the boat: "The Catamaran 48' "Next Wave" is a 40 pax Catamaran. This Catamaran is totally flat and great for parties. Small sitting area towards the back for 10-18 pax. It can be seen on our video on the Contact Us page. Cancun, Cancun Catamarans, Snorkeling, jungle tours, speed boat tours, Catamarans, sailing & day trips. She is perfect for wedding parties."
Price: Only $50 per person! This is about as much as it costs through other companies to just go snorkeling with a bunch of strangers, with no fun stuff included...we are getting a GREAT deal. Please mail your checks to us and we will put you on the list. Trust me, we have gone snorkeling a few times in Cancun, and this is by farthe best deal we have found yet...we are getting so much for the amount it costs, for 4 hours of fun!
Snorkeling:The normal snorkel time is around 90 minutes worth, and the rest would be cruising around the beautiful sea, drinking, having fun and carrying on, but we can choose to snorkel for as long as we'd like! We got an absolutely amazing deal on this excursion and I think it will be one of the highlights of the trip!
Parasailing: In the attached pics you will see the Spinnaker Sail, aka a small Parasail. This is AWESOME that its included!!! It doesn't go as high as a "normal" parasail, but it will definitely be just as fun for those of you with an adventurous side who want to enjoy it!

I just got off the phone with Robert and am putting an excursion together with this company. He sound great, quick replies via email and phone and GREAT prices.

This is great!! This is exactly what I'm looking to do too! Soon2bpowers! I know you from the VIM thread! I just called robert too at cancun catamarans and I'm getting sooooooooooo excited about it. He said I might have to use the bigger boat - I'm guessing that we will have about 50-75 people since we are already at 31 people booked and the invites aren't out yet. But this sounds like so much fun. I'll post what he tells me are the prices for the bigger boat. When are you doing this? The day before the wedding? We were thinking of doing it for our rehearsal dinner but now i think the more casual snorkeling/sailing might be more fun? SOOOOOO exciting!

Hi JLRJEN, Keep me posted on your findings. I want to do the same thing and will have between 50-60 people. I want to plan this for the day before the wedding as a fun/relaxing day in the sun for my guests.

Also, in anyone's research did they find a company that had an option for a lunch rather than just snacks?

I believe tere&James is correct that CancunCatamrans does not own the boats. BUT remember if you get prices from Albatros to make sure it includes transportation. $44 for transportation, 4 hour sailing, snorkeling w/equipment, open bar and dry snacks all of which is private is the best deal I found when looking.

*Plus when we arrived at the marina it was really busy, lots of people were standing around. We walked right past the starring people (many of which made comments) and headed towards the catamaran. The marina is full of Albatros boats.

I am thinking about booking a private catamaran charter through Cancun Catamarans. Can you please give me some feedback on your experience? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
