My sister-in-law does calligraphy, so lucky me! If not for her, I would've done hand written.

Just a note about printing directly on to envelopes: I have received wedding invitations like this and when the post office ran it through their machine, it totally smudged the print.

We printed directly onto the envelopes using the Scriptina font. They looked fantastic! And used a special-made return address label with our wedding logo on it.

Same Scriptina font for our RSVP's.

I hand wrote all of our std's and I will be doing all of our AHR invitations the same way. I sent about 100 STD's and will be sending about 190 AHR invites. It's time consuming to handwrite, but I was always under the impression it was bad ettiquette to print them off the computer, but maybe I'm old-school.

My handwriting is a mix between cursive and printing, so I vote for cursive.

We also addressed our envelopes by using a pretty font and ran the envelopes through the printer. I think it looked pretty nice. Our font was "Anke Calligraphic FG" downloaded at dafont.com.

We hand-wrote in print about 75 invitations. It wasn't bad at all since we started early. Be sure to take a break... my hands were getting tired and I noticed that the writing started to get crooked lol... re-do!

I was also thinking about printing mine directly on the envelope or printing them on clear labels. What fonts did you all use and where did you get them from. Also, does anyone know where I can get special-made return address labels? Are STD's supposed to be addressed the same as the invitiations (e.g. Mr. and Mrs. John Doe)?

I just printed by hand my save the dates. I always print though. It is nothing fancy, but I was not too worried about it. I will probably do cursive for the rest of them though. I have printed off return address labels from vistaprint.

I have also heard it is not great etiquette to print addresses from the computer. I must say though, every single wedding invitation we have ever received but one was printed from the computer. And we certainly did not care about any etiquette about it. No one in either of our families would be worried about it either.

I also think it should fit your wedding. We are having an almost entirely DIY, casual wedding, so I think this was fine. If we were more formal, the addressing would have to reflect that I think.

Just my opinion though!
