Brazilian Wax...First Time Tomorrow!!! Yikes

I've only had my eyebrows waxed and end up with bumps a couple days later.

I'm in a wedding on February 14th so I got real brave and scheduled a full leg, armpits and pubic area (not sure if I want o brazillian or not) all the day before. Do you think I will be sore or red the next day for the wedding because the dress is strapless and short. Plus what the heck, it's Valentines Day so I can't afford to be sore in my pubic area! I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST SAID THAT!!!!!!

Honestly, I wouldn't do all of that the day before. I tend to be red and bumpy for a few days after a bikini wax. Then again, I have very fair skin.

As for the wax last night, it was GREAT! It was so much better than the usual kind. That blue poetic wax is wonderful. I will never go back to the other. Woo hoo!

OMG ladies I am SO scared/nervous! I am getting my first ever Brazilian tonight! I wanted to get it last week as a Valentine's surprise for FI, but I had Aunt Flow in town so I couldn't wink.gif I have a feeling its going to hurt a LOT and I'll probably tear up/cry, because my eyes water when I just get my eyebrows waxed! Yikes!

Hopefully, if all goes well today, I will get another one in a month, right in time for my BD shoot! bunny_4.gif

I will post tomorrow and let y'all know how it goes. Wish me luck, I have a feeling I'm going to need it!

it's not as bad as many people think. i've had it done several times, whatever pain you have is def worth it! i would tell the person who's doing it for you to keep talking to you. although they pretty much know to do this, it distracts you from the pain. i once got it done and the woman didn't talk 2 me at all...thts the most painful one out of all the ones i got! o, and another tip...don't pre-shave! it's more painful!

I'm back and I survived!! My eyes didn't even water up!

Not going to lie, it definitely did hurt! censored.gif However, my waxer told me that it hurts the worst your first time because hairs are being pulled out that have never been before. She also said the first time it will tend to grow back more quickly, but if you keep doing it then eventually it takes a lil bit longer to grow back. I was a lil red/sensitive afterwards, but that went away the next morning. She also said no working out afterwards. It also lasted a little longer than I had anticipated, but again she said the first time takes a little longer than the second, third, etc. OH and another thing I was not expecting (For whatever reason) was plucking! Just like when you get your eyebrows waxed and they go back afterwards and pluck those stubborn hairs - well they do that at the Brazilian too, and for someone who has never plucked down there, this was a big, and kind of awkward/strange, surprise! The downside is that those hairs will grow back first and will feel "prickly" (they already kind of do), where as all the hairs that were waxed off are just gone and your skin is smooth in those areas!

So, although it hurt like hell, I will be going back in a month!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
