photo booth rentals for wedding reception

Recommended Posts

Was just at a wedding where they had the photo booth and it was great. No tickets ... people each took a shit-ton of pictures - and they printed out like they do at arcades - 4 pics to a sheet. I can find out how much it cost them, but I don't think it was a huge expense. And they moved the photo booth upstairs when the reception changed locations as well, so it was pretty portable.

Great idea! Everyone loved it!

My mom and dad just went to a wedding where they did this and they said it was lots of fun. Outside the booth, there was a bucket of props to have fun with - funny hats, masks, glasses, etc.

I SO wanted to do this for my AHR but since we ended up having it at a restaurant it didn't pan out. I think it's my favorite idea that I didn't use.

Jac - email Lauren. She said she is doing this for her wedding in September, so she might have a company and price info...

Forgot to say that they printed out 2 sheets of 4 pictures in a column. One sheet was placed in the guest book and the other sheet was for the guest to keep.

If you can get hold of a Mac laptop they have a program called Photo Booth. You sit in front of it and it takes your picture. There are even effects. Of course you would have to have a printer, too. You would have all the pictures in the computer, and, guest could print out their own pictures to keep.

Now that I realize all involved the Polaroid station sounds so much easier....LOL.

Here is how mine worked:
The strips come with 6 pictures in your choice of black or white. (you chose each sheet so not all for the night, KWIM?)

The center has a personalized greeting/logo/message/graphic, etc

The rental was for 4 hours with unlimited pictures.

My company brought all sorts of props - hats, boas, crazy glasses, etc. I brought a message board so people could write notes. (It gets interesting when everyone is drunk)

The company also provides a little "scrapbook" table with different pens, stickers, etc and asked each guest to cut out a photo and write us a message. This was our guestbook.

The regular rental is $1500 I think for the night.

I'll try to remember to take pictures tonight of my album.

Did your "guest book" work like you had hoped? I'm debating if we want to go with the book or not. I kind of think people would rather just get the picture and keep on moving... not having to signhuh.gif Okay, actually, it's like $100 for the book and if people don't sign it I'll be mad!!! LOL! Just wondering if ppl really took the time...

We are using a photobooth for our AHR. Its $1100 but you get a guest book out of it too. So when people take pictures they print 2 strips (8 total) 4 for the guestbook, 4 for them!

They have tons of props and on the outside of the photobooth is a huge tv screen for you to play slideshows of other pictures, so we are going to play a slideshow from our DW!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
