Pictures - $870 for 2 hours and 45 minutes (includes 6 prints and 70 pics on CD).

DVD/Videographer - $435 for 2 hours

I've been told that $1,305 is a bit much for only having someone taking pictures or taping for only 2-3 hours and that these are more typical to prices of someone there all day.

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone used other photographers in town that would be better? I appreciate any help on this!!!
Just curious why the cost of your video was so much?? I am having a video done and was only charged 330. Is there different people that do the video's like the photography is done??

I wanted to bump this thread. I seem to be in the same situation. FI and I were discussing photo options yesterday and were having a hard time with how much Michael is going to cost. Photos are important to us, but we are not willing to spend an inflated amount of money for them. Because not only do we have to pay for the CD but we will have to pay to have them printed once we return home!

We are having troubles deciding on how many photos we would like to have. Can any past brides give me an idea of what is a good number to have on CD. Is 30 pictures enough or should I look at having more?

Also, I am wondering how we can get the low resolution pictures. I have looked through many posts, and it seems like some of you have picked a package that includes like 30-50 high resolution pictures and then you get a couple hundred on a a CD in low resolution. I have read through the price list and either I am completly missing the low resolution portion or it is just not in there. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! You ladies are so great, I do not know what I would have done with out you!

I did not originally book a package with Michael himself. I had booked the cheaper package with one of his assistants. When he showed up at my wedding, I asked him why i was soo lucky to have him do my photo's. His response was that if there are not many weddings requesting his services specifically that day and he is available then he will do some of the weddings. Hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
