Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Anyone have ideas around doing something special for a first dance? Since sparklers are likely not going to happen, we'd like something else fun that would look great in photos.

Not into glow bracelets or the like, and we're already bringing a bunch of candles with us (some of which will be moved from dinner to our beach party). I thought about little flag things...ribbons on pieces of dowel, but I don't know how well those would be seen in the semi-darkness.

If only we could somehow easily bring our lit paper lanterns from dinner to the beach and hang them somewhere..?! lol

If you still have guests who haven't booked accommodations, you'll have to explain to them why you need them to book the Iberostar.

Just to let everyone know (in case someone else runs into the same problem), the WC for the suites got back to me and they pretty flexible with my number of guests that were actually staying at the resort. So crisis averted!

We are having our entire reception on the beach but we are planning on scattering luminary bags in the sand. Right now I'm on the hunt for white lunch bags, filling the base with sand so they don't blow away, and then sticking a tea light in the bottom. We may even line the inside of the bag with gold doilies to give a lace vintage look (as it goes with our theme). I just need to find white lunch bags now. If anyone sees any in Canada let me know. Getting them shipped here is too pricey.

I got these bags from Dollar Tree (or is it called Dollar Giant?) on Calgary Trail, right beside Goodlife Gym and Canadian Tire.

I'm not sure if they have white ones but they had several colours when I bought these. I'll look next time I'm around there, but if you happen to be in the area they have a lot of stuff that Dollarama doesn't have:

They didn't list the beer on the international menu, which may mean that you can only get the normal beer served at the resort (which is included in the dinner cost anyways). I'm not sure but Ive heard rumours that we can only get Red Stripe

Thanks. I'd thought about those but didn't realize they could be created with something as simple as white lunch bags (thought they had to be specialty paper so as not to burn and thin enough to really see the glow.) Appreciate you sharing! I hope you find the bags too!

Have you thought about going into town prior to your wedding day to buy sparklers? As I know other brides have found them in town

If any bride happens to know where in town, that would be great! Sounds like a good groomsmen job on rehearsal day lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
