OMG these reviews are sooo great! I really couldn't make up my mind on what photographer to use for our wedding...but after reading all these I REALLY want to work with them.

Thanks girls for all the help, you saved me!!

I just hope they get back to me soon! I hope they're not booked on my day!

Did everyone anticipate the high cost for photography? I guess I anticipated about $1,600 plus an album for $2K total.... Looks like I need $2,600 at least for the coverage then my resort charges $500 for the vendor fee.... sad.gif That is really expensive and I know MTM are the best but.... yikes! How do I justify the photos cost more than the dinner!!!

Hey there,

Try Claudia Rodriguez Photography, packages start at $1500 usd which includes some prints and 3 hours coverage...+ fine art magazine album another $250 USD
I did not anticipate the high cost either, I'm still struggling with this one!
She personally is booked elsewhere for our wedding day, and another member of her team we wanted is Citlalli Rico, who is also booked elsewhere. As of right now we haven't booked anything and not sure what to do! She has a whole team but they were our favs...http://www.claudiaphoto.com/
Good luck and I hope this helped, another good one is Elizabeth Medina...who is also booked for our day...Elizabeth Medina Photography, Mexico Destination Wedding Photographer, Wedding Photojournalism throughout the Riviera Maya, Yucatan and Mexico
I've read a lot of chatter about people sharing costs of a photographer but haven't figured out if it's actually happened or worked in favor for brides?
Again - Good luck, we're still searching too!

I was feeling the same as you, however with MTM you do own your prints and can choose to print them off on your own at a cheaper location. There are many places in most cities and online that will create a photobook for you similar to what they offer for a more reasonable price.
Lastly, for me choosing a small destination wedding meant I wanted some great photos to be able to show to our friends & family unable to attend.
You may not remember the meal, but will you remember all the great moments if you go with another photographer? That's a decision you need to make.

I had read a few reviews from last year where MTM paid the cost of vendor fees when you booked a higher package, they didn't offer this to me (I'm still wanting to ask) but it can't hurt to try.

Good Luck!

I just booked MTM for our wedding on June 19th 2010! We are meeting with Lincoln and Lori in Nov when we go down for our site visit, and we are super excited to meet with them! They let me book at the 2009 rate since I have been in contact with them for awhile, and they are extremely responsive through emails! Theyre prices are more then reasonable!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
