Excellence Playa Mujeres Brides Post Here!

Bags are from Jessica at the stylish scribe. She did my invitations, place cards, and bags. She was great to work with but stays super busy. The bags are alittle thin but everyone loved them. She was a destination bride that did all of her stuff DIY and then turned it in to a business. Here is a pic of my bag.

Is it worth paying to have a band or better to bring an ipod dock?

We are having our reception at the CECO Terrace. We have about 55 people in our party so we weren't sure if an ipod dock would be loud enough. One of Fi's friends is coming now and he DJ's professionally so he's going to DJ for us and we're just renting speakers from a local company so we don't have to lug speakers down with us.

I think with that amount of people an ipod dock should be fine! That's what we're planning to use at our Welcome Reception at the X-Lounge.

I wanted to have my ceremony there as well! But I didn't like the fact that our backs would be to the ocean...that was a severe design flaw in my opinion. So we'll be on the beach. LOL (Not to mention Nayeli said it was best with 40 people or less and we have 55).

The only way that the ceremony can take place in the gazebo is facing away from the beach due to the configuration of the podium and the areas for guests to sit. I believe they designed it that way because the area of the beach behind the gazebo is the end of the resort beach where they have most of the sailboats that guests can take out and those would be in the photos. However, the set up for the weddings on the beach is absolutely beautiful, it just will be a little bit windier so keep that in mind when planning your hair and veil!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
