Hello Ladies,
We are taking our parents out to dinner in Maui and I want it to somewhat special and not touristy. Something quiet and intimate, so we can enjoy the company. Oh, and of course great food!
Has anyone dined at any of these restaurants in the Lahaina area? If so please let me know your thoughts. I've read some stuff on Yelp but some of it is not informative and very basic.
1. Pineapple Grill
2. The Plantation House
3. Cascades at Maui Hyatt
4. Sonz at Maui Hyatt
5. The Seahouse
Thanks!

I would suggest you to check out tripadvisor.com
They have all the reviews.
The Plantation House - is the BEST place for lunch because it is a classy place and reasonable $$.
*Excellent service and outstanding lunch food. Get the Mahi Mahi Salad.
You will LOVE the beautiful backdrop. Trust me...you will WOW your parents...for lunch...100%. BRING CAMERA!

The Kapalua Resort may have something as well, not as busy as Lahaina & Ka'anapali. I never ate there, but it might be an option.

Does it have to be on the Lahaina side? If you're open to the South/Wailea side, I highly recommend Sarento's on the Beach. It's intimate, classy, the food is amazing and not touristy at all. I love it there!!

Rachel Ray actually just did a show on Maui dining. If you go on food.com, you may see some reviews on those restaurants.
we went to Mama's Fish House which had great food. It's on the otherside of the island though, closer to the airport area.
And just because I loved this place, check out this casual dining place called Da Kitchen. They had great plates at great prices! So good I went there twice on my three day stay lol
Hope that helps!

My parents went to the Plantation House to check it out for us. They loved it. They said the service and food were both excellent. The Sea House is one of their perennial faves. They say the view is the best on the island and the food is consistently good. I think they said the Sea House is a little more expensive than Plantation House.

Our favorite restaurant in Maui is called Cafe O Lei.
Try the Tuna Stuffed Calamari....it is TO DIE FOR!!!
If you are a fan of Sushi of course you can't miss Sansei. There is a new one now up in Kapalua area so you dont have to go all the way to Kehei if you dont want to.
