Love the necklace! and that's such a cute story... You are so creative, so I'm looking forward to pics of your earrings for inspiration smile72.gif

Okay, the receipts...this is what I have been told. If you push the button at customs and get the light to be checked (red light I believe) then they check your bags and you have to produce receipts for any merchandise you are bringing into the country. I have read on the forum, wish i could remember where, that some brides have "created" receipts on their computers for the stuff they are bringing, that way they can fudge the prices since I believe there is a limit of about $300 as stated earlier in this thread. I started to save receipts but at this point I don't remember where they are so I might be making some smile78.gif

Alright May brides ... tasks have been checked off my to-do list!!

We managed to find a great Sand Ceremony kit last night at Pier 1 Imports (I'll be posting pics in the Etiquette thread ce soir) as well as sand and little decorative bits and bobs for my OOT bag tags/letters etc.

I also ironed on both my flower girl and MOH tank decals last night without much trouble ... though I think the MOH one is a bit crooked ... *sigh* Of course, FI decided to tell me AFTER I'd ironed it: "Hey, looks a little crooked, no?" I'm like ... you couldn't have told me like 10 seconds ago??!!!!! *sigh* Oh well ... once the shirt is on it'll look fine. :) I'll have pics of the tanks in my planning thread ...

My dress FINALLY fits me and I'll be picking it up next Saturday ... I'll post pics of the final product then as well ... oh and I'm getting my hair done early tomorrow morning and I can't WAIT. My hair is such a mess now and I totally don't feel like a bride-to-be!

For all your Montreal girls (not sure if there are other May Montrealers) there's a Billabong sale in the city this evening ... a warehouse sale ... and there are bound ot be plenty fo bathing suits for you and the FI at great prices! I know I'll be checking it out tonight!!

OMG the music ... we JUST started talking about that yesterday ... we have to decide and download all the songs. Plus we have to fid a decent iPod dock ... any suggestions ladies?

Lisa: You look SO happy and gorgeous!!! I love how the top sparkles so much!!!

ok i have never kept any kind of receipts whatsoever. i can't imagine that this is an actual issue, because wouldn't we have heard tons of horror stories on this forum where all of a bride's wedding decor or oot bags got confiscated? seriously, i'm just not going to worry about it. i can't or i'll die.

I third that notion about receipts. Once upon a time I tried saving receipts but... I have no clue where I put them. I am thinking we will all be fine. :)

I'm like half-assed done with things which is annoying me.

-Like I need to finish ironing on some bling for my MOH tank and mine (she did the mom ones- now i just need to do hers)

-Have all the stuff for OOT bags but still need to buy like 3 random things that we didn'tcount correctly (annoying)

-sent out all of my month before letters but 3 becuase i need 3 more luggage tags (annoying again)

- we need to deal with ceremony music and the written word as well as vows.

- We did apply for our marriage license (yay)

- I am getting a haircut today and WAS going to do a hair trial but nixed it becuase the trial is $180 at my salon and honestly she's not even the one doing it since I will be in Mexico so I have decided to just go with the resort person and bring them a photo. I don't care that much. I rather get a massage for $180. :)

-I am thinking of going for another makeup makeover at a different counter than bobbi brown. I will post pics but when looking back I htink it's not bright enough makeup. It looks too heavy. Not me. I don't know.

-We are going to purchase another suitcase this weekend as well as shop al ittle for some summer stuff since FI won't do it on his own. He hates shopping. I on the other hand love it.

I'm babbling. It felt good to get it out though. Thanks May brides. I love our lists. They keep me on track!

I can't imagine there have been issues with receipts ... Mummergirl is right: If other BDWers had had problems, we would have heard ALL about it on this board!! So, just pack your bags with everything and walk through customs with a big smile. You are a bride after all ... and everyone loves a bride and wants to make her happy!!! Hehehe

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
