Echo2, OMG as much obsessing/planning/more obsessing no matter what....the one thing we have absolutely no control of is mother nature---believe me if I thought there was something to do about it, I'd give it a try. So glad you still had a blast. Thanks so much for the encouragement....it truely helps. Did you work w/ Jacy or Sandra? Did you have a good experience.
badrianne......thank you for the awesome detailed review!! I'm planning the ultimate package---plated for about 45people. thought maybe my guests would like the table service as opposed to the buffet---after a couple days of buffets at the AI. Am I off on this one? Seems more choice for buffet, but it is nice to just be waited on.
OMG I feel so much better!!!! Thank you guys!!!!!!!

Hi there girls...this thread has been so helpful. Thank you sooo much. I am getting married at DPA on 11/13/10 and am now starting to freak out about everything. Has anyone used an outside DJ? My fiance found great reviews on a guy named DJ Bob. Has anyone used him?

Are we able to bring in an outside DJ? Does it work the same way as the photographer. Definately would like to hear more on this.

Not sure on the outside DJ sorry, but in regards to the last question about a plated vs. buffet meal, I think it comes down to preference. Your guests will likely have a good mix of each just using the resort restaurants throughout the week already. It also depends on the size of your group as well because I believe that if you have over a certain number (40?) they prefer to do a buffet anyways.

We had chosen the basic wedding package and paid for our private reception separately and only had 33 guests (including ourselves) so we had the plated meal and the service was excellent. One of the few specifics that my hubby gave me during planning was that he wanted a plated meal and not buffet so as I said, personal choice for us. Plus nevermind our guests, hubby and I were just so glad to be sitting down and relaxing finally so having the food brought to us was very well received :)

Hi everyone! I'm getting married at Dreams PA on 09/03/2010.
I noticed some people asking about a photographer. We are bring our own photographer (a friend on mine) with us. Since we are getting the Dreams of Love package which includes a photographer Jacy said we can have to gazebo decoration with chair cover, red carpet, and floral arrangements at no extra charge.
              Hope that helps!

Echo2 where do you have your reception dinner? I know you said it rained so inside right? I find the whole wedding manual thing confusing. You got the basic wedding package then payed for the site and meals separately?
