I'm also working with Lola from Florenta Flowers. She is great and is excellent in regards to communication and very responsive. I sent Lola serveral pictures of centerpiece ideas that my fiance and I are looking to have at our wedding, and she was able to work within our budget. I would recommend Florenta Flower Design! Hope this helps!

I have seen the shop in Cabo and the work was lovely. I am just begining my floral communications and before I could even contact them (as I don't have specifics yet), Criss contacted me asking how my planning was coming along. This goes a long way with me and look forward to speaking with them.

I recently used Florenta Flower Design for my wedding that was on October 14th.

Yesica, my wedding coordinator at Dream Los Cabos had me contact Florenta Flowers. I emailed Lola August 1st and no reply. After several attempts to reach Lola with no response I had to contact Yesica. After she got involved I got a response saying she was out of town and would be back September 23rd. When she returned I emailed her a picture of the bouquet I wanted. The flowers I wanted were imported and she quoted me $350 for just the bridal bouquet. I only had 10 days left before the wedding because she was out of town until the 24th. I had emailed her twice with questions about the size and options, no reply. When I finally agreed to the price she then told me I couldn't have them.

After going back and forth with Lola on pricing and being confused about the credit from the wedding package I had contacted Yesica again. It turns out she's not the florist for the Dreams package (I will point out that's Yesica's fault, not Lola's) but with only 4 days before the ceremony I decided to go with her against my better judgment. When I asked her what size the bouquets were going to be she replied to me, "The right size." The entire communication with her was short answers and never completely answering my questions.

The flowers Lola delivered were browned on the edges and the bridal bouquet looked cheap and awful. It had weird craspedia billy balls sticking up above tea roses and some other type of flower. I had asked for lilies, cymbidiums and orchids. The colors weren't even what I had requested. I got the mom's wrist corsages but the only way to attach them except was with thick black and white ugly ribbon tied around their wrist. All wrist corsages I've ever seen have a hidden elastic band. Yesica attempted to fix the bridal bouquet and delivered another bouquet was all roses that was better but it still wasn't anything that I wanted. Disappointing.

I should have stuck with the hotels florist or gone with Emporio Floral. Marco was quick to answer all my questions and sent many examples of what I was looking for. If I would have used the hotels florist I would have received 2 additional arrangements and probably got what I was looking for and it would have been the same expense. I saw another wedding after ours and I made the mistake of asking the bride which florist she used. She replied she wasn't sure who it was, just the one that came with her wedding package.

I wouldn't recommend using Florenta Flower Design.

I recently used Florenta and had a frustrating ordeal communicating with Lola and receiving the flowers I had asked for.

The initial conversation with Lola went fine.  She seemed friendly enough.  However, once she started sending budgets, they were lacking detail for each item and was not clear on quantity of flowers or their colors.  Instead of providing images of what she would make, she used images from my Pinterest account, which ended up not looking at all like the final product.

Months in advance, I asked if it would be possible to do a certain type of bridal bouquet.  She mentioned that the particular type of flower would need to be imported and the final color of the flower wouldn't be clear until its arrival.  Upon further probing, it ended up that the flower she was set on ordering was a wine color, when the wedding was in lilac and aubergine tones.  The worst part is she didn't seem to care.

I finally gave up going back and forth with her on the quote, even though the prices seemed skewed on small versus large arrangement sizes.  In the planning process, she kept saying we would need to include roses as filler and assured me that they would be purple, even though the picture I was sent made them look more pink.  However, sure enough, the day of the wedding they turned out to be pink - ruining each flower arrangement.

In addition, she brought the flowers in a box that had the date of another wedding on it -- not my date, and this ended up in wedding pictures.  She even had the nerve to stay around for a while as we were getting ready for the wedding as she seemed proud of the flowers.  This incensed me - given the moment I saw the flowers, I was so disappointed at how they turned out that I started tearing up through my make up which had just been done.

Given my experience in the frustrating planning process with Lola and the fidelity of the flowers received to those requested, I would not recommend Lola and Florenta.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
