Heading down to the Beach Palace and Cancun Palace tomorrow for a 3 day visit to wedding plan. They were nice enough to give us a complimentary 2 night stay to do our visit.  Meeting with our planner and getting everything done 8 months before the big day!  Will take plenty of pictures as well.  Currently booked for the Beach Palace, but thinking of switching to the Cancun becuase our guest list grew enormously!

Wow, this sounds awesome! I definitely want to know how things go. I'm booked for Beach Palace as well but I'm not sure if we can make a trip beforehand or not. Your insight will be very helpful. Please share as much as you can when you return. Enjoy it!!!

Okay, I just got done touring the Beach Palace with the wedding planner and going over all my reception options.  I don't think this place is for me.  It's modern which I like, but almost to the point of being TOO modern.  The rooms are great, the Presidential Suite is AWESOME - it has 3 bathrooms!!! - but I feel like the resort itself isn't very clean and most definitely isn't taken care of. Maybe I notice the detail because my father is a General Contractor and builds amazing luxury homes, but the little things like lots of spotty patchwork and paint jobs, looks awful.  For a resort that was remodeled 5 years ago - it looks 20 years old.
We're heading to The Cancun Palace with the wedding planner in about a half hour.  He said he likes the Cancun a lot better, and one of the wedding consultants from Miami also said she likes the Cancun better.  Fingers crossed or I'm going to be running around all day tomorrow trying to tour other places.
I am SO happy I came to check it out first.  I will post a more detailed review later - maybe tomorrow - I need to try to get some sun while I'm here!!!

Hey, I wanted to let everyone know, I found the most amazing photographers local to the area and they do tons of weddings at the palace resorts, all you have to do is buy their day pass.  They are five stars compared to the hotel's choice of photographers.   Remember the pictures are worth a thousand words.

www.lalunaphotographers.com    They are both co owned, and Del Sol is more expensive, but they are both good.  Do not let the Palace resorts tell you you cannot use outside vendors because you sure can, and you can also bring your own decorations.

Anyone married at beach or cancun palace please send me info or links to your photos, I am about to decide where to have my wedding within the week.  Thank you lynn

Please let me know what hotel you decide to go with, we are also planning beach or cancun, and have been to both but that was 2 years ago.  I was hoping to find out more about your visit.

Check out those photographers, they do world class work.

Did you decide where you're having your wedding?

My fiance and I just had an amazing 7 night vacation at Beach Palace Resort and now we're planning on going back for our wedding. We LOVED it - the staff was so amazing, that's our biggest motivation to go back and have our wedding there.

We're planning a really small wedding - 20-25, mainly family and a handful of friends. Exciting and scary all at the same time... we're in the very first stages of PRE-planning. Making a plan on how we're going to tackle the planning... huh.gif

That is great to hear, we actually decided to have our wedding at the Cancun Palace, and recently booked the photographer through Del Sol / La Luna.  I am really excited, and the big day cant get here any sooner.

You will find that the Palace is a little slower at getting things done, and they don't really interact with you regarding coordination until about 3 months before the wedding, which can seem strange, but they do this all the time, and it is old hat for them.

We are member's of the resort as well and have special rates, so if you are interested I can check with the weddings department about passing on our savings to you!

We loved the Beach as well, we wanted to have our wedding there, but our guest list is a little too large for that boutique size hotel, it is amazing though!

We went with the Cancun Palace.  We have an invite list of over 200 people, so we had to go with a bigger resort, I think the Beach Palace is too small for what I want.  I loved the Cancun Palace.  We met with Mario, their wedding planner, and Marisol who does wedding sales. They were amazing and spent a lot of time with us.  There are a lot of good options for reception and they even set up a wedding ceremony on the beach for us to see and served us a mini wedding cake on the beach!

So we're all booked there, as members so we got a great room rate for our guests, and we've booked photography thru del Sol Photography - I can't say enough wonderful things about them.  Matt (one of the owners of del Sol) has been amazing to communicate with - not in just the photography aspect, but he's been helpful with general wedding questions I've had as well. http:// www.delsolphotography.come

We booked DJ Mannia as our DJ and we booked Fernando from the Makeup Pros for hair and makeup!  Can't wait!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
