Photos from my wedding at Cancun Palace August 2011. Enjoy: http://lalunaphotographers.com/blog/gallery/jonathan/weddings/lynn-louis/

I had a wedding of 80 guests, and was required to purchase the day passes, it did all work out. I used outside vendors for almost everything. You can't get around the fee, I tried and tried. All of my guests also stayed at the same resort, I had no problems with guests staying in other hotels. I hope this helps.

Ladies, I had an inquiry today regarding my wedding emailed Lisa, apparently Lisa is no longer with Palace Resorts. I am a member and it has been rumored that the Palace is making Managerial changes for the better as far as customer service, and one of the main goals I have heard was to close the MIami office and move operations to Mexico. So hopefully we will see some better CS from them.

I was just married at CP August 13th, if you have any questions. Best, Lynn

Beach Palace in Cancun???
lcirelli replied to beebumble27's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Accommodations & Site
Hello, I am not sure if you are refering to Beach Palace or Cancun palace, but I know for a fact that Cancun palace has an entire convention center, and we are having our reception in a ballroom there. They have 3-4 balroom/conference rooms. -
Amanda, You are not entirely correct. Member rates are for Superior Deluxe Ocean which are the 3rd tier in room pricing, they are not the cheapest rooms. I do not disagree that you probably found a ta to find you the cheapest deal they had, and that rate was less than the one I quoted you, that is entirely possible, but not under the same room category. As far as group benefits, the resort has confirmed with me that they do not apply unless the rooms are booked with the hotel directly, and specifically the weddings department. You may want to call the hotel to confirm this. Member rates come with 1 mani/1 pedi 1 backmassage per person per room booked, other rates do not. TA's take an additional 20% on top of any weddings collection that is booked through the palace, so you might want to figure that in as an extra that you have to pay. Finally if you book through the hotel weddings under my membership you can cancel/change your reservation at anytime, no penalty. Other companies, charge a cancellation fee, some are pretty hefty. Thanks and have a great day, and no worries. Good luck with your wedding!

Beach Palace in Cancun???

I have been to Cozumel palace 3 times and witnessed weddings there, they are done on a terrace on the 3rd floor overlooking the reef and ocean, usually around sunset. Very very beautiful and quiet! -

Ladies, thanks for sharing all of that information. I am sure a bride and groom would be quite upset to receive a 1,500 bill at the end of thier stay due to making changes to the wedding collection! Very helpful info. I anyone is planning on booking a wedding with the palace resorts in the future please email me, I am a member and happy to share my benefits(20% off spa treatments, 1 mani, 1 pedi, 1 back massage included per person per room, and lower rates. I know each little bit helps. Have a great day. Please send me a private message! Good luck ladies. -

That is great to hear, we actually decided to have our wedding at the Cancun Palace, and recently booked the photographer through Del Sol / La Luna. I am really excited, and the big day cant get here any sooner. You will find that the Palace is a little slower at getting things done, and they don't really interact with you regarding coordination until about 3 months before the wedding, which can seem strange, but they do this all the time, and it is old hat for them. We are member's of the resort as well and have special rates, so if you are interested I can check with the weddings department about passing on our savings to you! We loved the Beach as well, we wanted to have our wedding there, but our guest list is a little too large for that boutique size hotel, it is amazing though! -
Wedding at cancun palace
lcirelli replied to tmanza's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Accommodations & Site
I was told that the moon was more of a wedding factory, they do multiple weddings per day sometimes up to 5 or 6. This is why we chose to go with a smaller resort, beach palace or cancun palace. -

Beach Palace in Cancun???

Hey, I wanted to let everyone know, I found the most amazing photographers local to the area and they do tons of weddings at the palace resorts, all you have to do is buy their day pass. They are five stars compared to the hotel's choice of photographers. Remember the pictures are worth a thousand words. www.delsolphotography.com www.lalunaphotographers.com They are both co owned, and Del Sol is more expensive, but they are both good. Do not let the Palace resorts tell you you cannot use outside vendors because you sure can, and you can also bring your own decorations. Anyone married at beach or cancun palace please send me info or links to your photos, I am about to decide where to have my wedding within the week. Thank you lynn -
Wedding at cancun palace

Damitapril, Can you tell me, how did they setup the site visit, was it free if you booked the wedding there? We too are looking to have our wedding at Moon or Cancun August of 2011 and wanted to go down to see the hotels. We are members of the resort and had my mother's wedding August 2010 at Aventura spa, and they took very very very, good care of us. The weddings department was extremely professional, and handled every detail promptly. WE opted for the included wedding, since there were just 8 of us, but they took great care of us. We also have great rates for travelers! So let me know anything that you know about how the site visits work, because I would like to get out there for 1-2 days included if possible. Have a great day.
