Funny Wedding Night Stories

DH and I had a funny experience on our wedding night, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything humorous on that particular night?

After the wedding night "festivities" I went to bed to lay down, and when I woke up there was huge wet spot around my crotch. It was strange because the wet spot was on the blanket above me and beneath me as well, and it smelled like alcohol. I thought that I'd wet the bed on the wedding night and that I had drank so much that it smelled like alcohol! I was panicking bc I never lose control of bodily functions when I drink, let alone on my wedding night, and I wasn't sure what I would tell DH. I was feeling around the bed and I found the culprit - an empty bottle or Red Stripe. Turns out DH fell asleep holding a beer and it just happened to empty onto my crotch when it fellrofl.gif

We can't decide what's worse - him spilling an entire bottle of beer in bed or me actually thinking that I wet the bed!

The next morning our room smelled like a frat house, so we were super cool and left a note for housekeeping asking them to make sure they changed all the bedding because we had spilled beer on the bed. We're very classy!

That's funny!

The only thing that I guess was out of the ordinary for us was that it was about 12:30am and a few of our close friends were at the suite with us still and I was getting very tired. So I had went into the master suite and two of my girlfriends followed me. I told them I was very tired and wanted to go to bed so my friend undressed me out of my wedding gown (I was trashed) and instead of just letting me go to bed she dressed me into some of my lingerie and then put me in bed and then went out to my husband (and all the friends that were out there) and told him that he better get in there right now if he wants to get laid tonight...that I was ready to go!! NICE...talk about classy.

so ladies i thought i'd bump this.....

the title doesnt really go with my question (well maybe wink.gif)

so i've seen several threads about wedding night lingerie and it made me think...how many of you, now wifeys, actually had a romantic or even sexual wedding night?? I know you're gonna have fun at the reception and end up drunk, but I guess I just don't want to regret anything.

do any of you regret not having amazing "we're married" sex that night??

great question! i know of all my married friends told me they never got to "consummate" their marriage on their wedding night as they were too drunk or had some other drama (yes, can you believe it?!) going on to keep them from doing so.

one of my sisters told me about one of her old co-workers sad tale of wedding woe!! apparently the co-worker new bride had to be carried out 10 minutes into the reception because she was too drunk! imagine after all that planning and not only did she not have a romantic wedding night but she missed her entire reception!!

LOL! As a "wifey" I can tell you that after all the stress and festivities were finally over and we were alone on our wedding night ... DH and I simply crashed - woo hoo, we're a wild pair! The next night, we planned to have a romantic evening to make up for our sleepy wedding night so we filled up the hot tub on our balcony and DH lit candles and put out champagne. I absent-mindedly threw my robe on the shelf behind us and broke the champagne glasses and THEN, my robe caught on fire from the candles! Needless to say, I'm sure the maid was wondering what the hell went on the night before when I left her a note asking for a new robe because we had a little "accidento"!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
