I called the wedding coordinator at the resort I am getting married at and she is getting me 375ml of El Tesoro tequila for each of my guests. Maybe call your resort and see if they can do the same for you.

I would suggest the following types of tequila -

El Jimador anejo
El Tesoro blanco
Corazon blanco
Patron is good too!

Find a tequila made in "Jalisco" and chances are you'll be ok. That's what the guys who taught the tequila school we attended in cabo said, anyway. Using that methodology, I have had no bad tequila since.

I absolutely LOVE the mini tequila bottle idea as a favor. I've been trying to find a good favor idea (in addition to the welcome bags/totes) and this seems perfect for Mexico. Do you know if it would be better to get them there? Or are there any issues with ordering them ahead of time and bringing them into Mexico with you? I'm not sure of those kinds of restrictions.

What store (or who) did you contact in Cabo to do this for you?? We are doing tequila as our favors as well and instead of bringing the bottles down with me, I'd like to buy it all down there! Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks girlie! pinkie.gif

Here's a little more food for thought.... you can order mini somberos (Oriental Trading) and tie/glue it to the top of the bottle. It'll resemble a little man and add a little more Mexican flare.

BTW, I love Patron Silver!! Great tequila, but it's not for everyone. All of your guests may not enjoy it.

AWWW i love the little man idea!! I've been trying to find somewhere to order the bottles but haven't found where to yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
