I think I am ready to go! Lots of little things, but trying not to really stress out - it's supposed to be easy and less stressful right? A note about the Aqua Bar - I also was thinking (and for a while was sure) about doing a reception there. I don't think they actually let you rent the Aqua Bar but you can use the area by the pool bar Las Olas that is there. I don't know what you are looking for, but I wanted to have music and dancing and they highly suggested that I rent the Vitrales room (which I am doing) so that it is a little more private. The Aqua Bar is open with other people around, and they don't let you play music after maybe 9pm? because there are lots of rooms around. Tough - I really wanted that type of atmosphere, but hope the Vitrales room is going to be great. My wedding is small too - about 25 guests.

I also am doing a meet and greet. The WC said that we could get do this at the lobby bar with cocktails, but we want to be outside so I think all of the guests that will be arriving for the welcome cocktail hour will be meeting at the outside Las Olas bar - I did not request anything special for a private hosted thing. I didn't think it was necessary - I just want everyone to be able to meet. It seemed more casual and easy this way. I didn't plan on bringing the welcome bags - but since a lot of the guests will be on the same flight as me, or get in earlier it totally makes sense! Does anyone have any general information about the Iberostar Lindo? I'm getting married there Oct. 5th which is only about 4 weeks away!! I am looking for ideas of how to decorate the Vitrales room that we rented, and also any other info that you guys have. We are having a pretty small ceremony, a total of about 27 including my fiance and myself. I want to keep it intimate, but I'm sure there are things that I am not thinking of. For example, is anyone planning on using the spa for getting hair/nails done?

I absolutely LOVE the mini tequila bottle idea as a favor. I've been trying to find a good favor idea (in addition to the welcome bags/totes) and this seems perfect for Mexico. Do you know if it would be better to get them there? Or are there any issues with ordering them ahead of time and bringing them into Mexico with you? I'm not sure of those kinds of restrictions.

I'm wondering if anyone has a good idea for where to get totes. I'm planning on having a beach tote in the welcome bag with other goodies, but need some recommendations on where to get them at a good price. Also, does anyone have favor ideas for the wedding dinner? I was thinking something simple that will be easy to transport to Mexico that has our logo but seem to find cheesy things, or things that might not be so easy to travel with. Any ideas?

I am getting married at the Lindo Oct. 5th of this year. I actually wanted the Del Mar initially but those dates were already booked, and we really didn't want to move our date. My biggest concern is of the reception. We are doing an afternoon beach wedding, cocktail party by the pool, dinner, and then the reception. I did not like the looks of the Vitrales room, and had no desire for the disco (yikes, SO not my style) nor the amount of people, so they recommended Los Olas - still outside area by the pool. I wanted something semi-private for dancing, speeches, you know...typical wedding reception stuff. I am looking for pictures, informations, suggestions for anyone has around this. I have been blogging, looking at threads, and visited the iberostar-board.com tons of times but still seem to not find what I am looking for in terms of the whole reception idea. I just reserved the Lindo for my wedding this October. I have not been there and would love to see pictures if anyone has any they can share. I don't find that there is a great selection of photos on the website and I am trying to get as much information as possible! I just reserved it but am having a hard time finding photos and information regarding the reception/dinner, etc. Did you do a site visit, or do you have any other information/photos you can share. I'm trying to pull this off in four months but really want to be sure I'm making the right decision with going with the Lindo! Thanks!

Hi there - I am very interested in the Iberostar ParaisoDel Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. Is there anyone else that has either looked into this resort, or gotten married here? My travel agent says this is a great resort for what I'm looking for (family friendly, great resort but not budget friendly for everyone...). I have not seen a ton of information on this resort so am looking for information, tips, suggestions, etc. I'm getting married in four months so want to finalize asap! thanks, Sarah

Hi - I'm Sarah, new to the forum. I plan on getting married this year on Oct. 4th in the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. I am not incredibly familiar with this area or the resorts, so I am looking for suggestions. I would like an all inclusive resort that is pretty nice, but not over the top with the price to go with it - I don't want to make my guests pay too much for my wedding. It needs to be kid friendly, and have accomodations for approx. 35 people with a good wedding coordinator. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've been looking and see tons of great places, but can't decide what would be a great one! thanks, Sarah
