I am so sorry I am just seeing this. Haven't been on the site in a while. We let the wedding planners know that we wanted to go there after the reception. We had no idea a live band would be playing. There was not a live band there every night of the week so I guess we lucked out. Yes, they played fun dance music. My brother requested a song when we came in but not sure if other people were requesting songs. It was a blast though!

@@Cj1053 I read your post about the Mojito bar. We are also doing our reception at Plaza Zavas and Mojito lounge after. Did you let Mojito Lounge know before hand that your party will be going there after? Are you able to request songs? Did they play fun, dance music?

At night we usually went to the mojito bar. Some of the evenings they had a live band playing. We did our 'send off' at the mojito bar but it wasn't quite a send off as we stayed and danced with everyone. I had brought bubbles and bells with us and while my husband and I were doing our last dance at Plaza Zavas, everyone went up to the mojito bar. When we arrived they were in 2 lines right inside the entrance and my brother had the band introduce us and we came in as everyone cheered and blew bubbles. The band then played a sweet love song and everyone danced with us. It was a fun way to keep things going as the reception flew by.

Hello ladies

We got our wedding photos and video back and we love them. We went through Sarani but used a photographer from her team. I would highly recommend them. I would also suggest getting a video. I didn't realize how much the video would mean to us until we saw it. I was amazed by how good of a job they did. It did cost more to add the video, but it was worth every penny. Thank you Sarani for this amazing video. It's the perfect way for us to look back on our wedding day. If you ladies want to check out the video Sarani photography did, here is the link...

Super happy! Just went to the door (in the middle of a blizzard), and was met by a delivery.. My bags from wedding chicks arrived! I ordered them on the pre-black Friday sale... So 50% off and they worked out to be $3.25 a bag because I ordered more than 20... They are perfect!!! attachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1417212670.298234.jpg

HA !!! OMG I love it....my cart is awaiting with the same one since a few days ago..just chose 2 colors for the design and the letters :) love this bag...but I am waiting for the coupon :)

Hi guys,

Do you plan on tipping your photographer?  If so, what's considered an appropriate amount? I read that 15% was standard, but not sure if it differs for destination weddings. I want to be sure I do the right thing, but at the same time, I am already paying that huge vendor fee and I'm not so certain I can afford to shell out much more.

I might sound SUPER CHEAP but I wont tip lol it is a LOT of money of photos....LOT of money on pictures that not even in Northern NJ someone charges unless they are super expensive  :)

@@linaco80 I was planning on keeping them as is because they are going to be in my welcome bags! What are you planning to do? :)

@@kmk2016 is that the mango color? I am looking into getting the Hola Amigo one!! and love love love that color!

Oh Gosh!!! I LOVED your Tervis cups but my FI did not approved lol...we do not want to be too cheap at all, BUT thesec bags are adding up...went to a clear tumbler for $2 each, I have my sticker being printed and will place it on the tumbler once I am done :)

Thank you so much!

We got the lanterns from http://m.paperlanternstore.com

We also went with the DJ. He did a great job. During our first dance he had the bubble machine and it turned out really nice.

@@carrieandsam We went with DJ All Music. Ahead of time our WC provided us with a packet and we filled out songs we wanted for entrance, first dance, cutting cake, during dinner, after dinner, etc. I also told him he could add songs if needed. He did a great job.

    • Hi All, I have just gotten in touch with a TA and we are in the process of getting quotes for our wedding in either DR or Mexico. Now she said something that I wasn't  aware of and I wonder how others handled this as I just can't believe that we are the only one in this situation. We feel we are asking our guests already a for a lot to come a long way to our wedding (our guests come from Canada and Germany) and there are a few that wouldn't want to miss it (like my partner's brother) but they just don't have a lot of money. Our budget doesn't allow us to chip in for flights and accommodation so we are basically asking everyone to save up money for our big event. Now we are planning the wedding at a resort that I know some of our guests can't (or don't want to) pay for. We were hoping to find a place where guests have the option to book themselves a cheaper hotel or an AirBnB nearby and only come to our wedding. Our TA told us that the resort might not allow that or only for a limited percentage of our guests. That is terrible news for us! I think that a good 50% of our guests will also stay at the resort for one, two or even three weeks but how can we 'force' other people to stay at the hotel of OUR choice?  I get that the resort would charge a fee for day guests and obviously we expect to pay for food and drinks but I didn't know that we would have to agree to a certain percentage of the guests staying at the resort. I don't feel we have control over that. How do others handle that?
    • Getting married in 10/2020, anyone had a recent wedding here? Asking for some help
    • Hi, I know prices change year to year- Anyone have 2019 or possibly 2020 prices?
    • My husband and I was married 18 years ago. My husband hates dressing up and truly I had no idea to that he feels embarrassed in dress attire. I told him the only way I would marry him was in tux jacket and pants shirt. Well he wore it but after wedding hyperventilating and nearly passed out. He felt totally humiliated and had horrible memories of our wedding. He has never allowed me to show our wedding photos to anyone and simply it ruined the wedding and has caused tremendous amount of issues over the years due to the fact I made him wear it. He now wants to redo the wedding to wash out our wedding memories and create new. Wants briadsmaid groomsmen everything. He wished he had simply went against my will wore something different. So wants to redo everything included everyone and what they wore but change what he wore. Me dressed in my original wedding dress. I so wish I had never posed him into a suit on our wedding day.its been 18 year nightmare.  He simply wishes to completely recreate a memory. My question is it okay to completely redo our wedding exactly the way it was except what he wears? This has been 18 years of hell he xant get over it. He cant even stand to look at photos and we have never watched the video. Thank you all Sarah
