What has everybody done for table overlays and runners? Have you all brought your own overlays and table runners or have you all used the ones from Azul? I understand that the white table cloths are included but I want to use overlays and table runners as well.

most folks bring their own overlays and/or table runners.

Keep in mind string lights are simply indoor Christmas lights girls. Right now you can get huge discounts on them... And a string of 100 comes in such a small box they are easy to pack. You can easily pick up packs at $.99-$5 this time of year!

@@kmk2016 I am just trying to figure out how many lights I should get for the gazebo and such. I know you mentioned that I can find all that info on the official thread but I could not find that:/ do you have the link?

I will search for it when I get home. I know it's in the thread somewhere!

@@carrieandsam I ended up having my reception indoors because it was an 80% chance of rain and anything over 30%, they recommend you move in doors. WAHHHH!!! I cried for an hour!!!  All you need is 6 25ft lights for the Plaza Zavas Gazebo though!

Hi can anyone refer a good travel agent in the New York area. Because I'm dealing with an agent right now I feel that she's withholding information from us. Me and my fiancé went on the hotel website and it was the same price she was offering for the same dates. Is that common? I thought the rate through the agent is suppose to be less since its a group rate. Please help me understand this. Have anyone book for their wedding directly through the hotel?

How was the El Dorado? We were thinking of heading there for a few days after the wedding!

I don't know about NY. But I am going through Luxe Destination Weddings. They are based out of Ontario. They have been wonderful! I think our room rate is $200/night per person for the most basic room (regular section). And it goes up from there. Hope that helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
