Ok, what's the deal with naming your child after something you saw on a clinic wall?!! Does the thought not occur to one that the name listed might be AN STD, and not just "a pretty name"?!! Wow. Sad.

Hmm, I know of a few unfortunate names. A few years ago there was a guy listed in the phonebook by the name of Stu Pidass.

My mom worked with a Freshell Corpus

We went to school with a Chrystal Chandelier

I will talk to my friend who works at a registries as she gets a lot of odd (and hilarious) names that go through there.

I knew a guy name Sterling Ball and his sister was Crystal Ball. When I have to sign my initials at work, I sign ET! When I got pregnant with my daughter and we were thinking of names for a boy, FI wanted Allen as his middle name since it is also his middle name. I liked the name Ethan, and for awhile I couldn't figure out why the name Ethan Allen sounded familiar, then I realized and than name was nixed!!! LOL. My friends uncle asked if The Brick was taken!!! LMAO

My mom went to school with a guy named Harry Doer (do-her). There is a teacher at the junior high here whos name is Kevin Dye. Not so bad right? On the report cards it comes out as dyke.

Does anyone watch David Letterman? For awhile he talked about and even had a guy on the show a few times because of his name - Dick Assman!!!! Occassionally he still comments on him.

Here is a site with a lot of hilarious names that are real:

Oh I see some fun ones:

Placenta- that's just crazy

Notorious (she thought it was such a beautiful word. I asked if she knew what it meant. She said no.)

Queen Brieazhia Shaneesa Nevaeh (and there were like two more middle names to this one)...

Some favorite twin names I've seen recently:

Lemonjelo and Oranjelo (prounounced like "Lemon Jello" and "Orange Jello")

Kahriece and Jahriece

Ralph and Ralphael (yup, that's how they're spelled)

Our neighbour told me about a woman see saw in the store one time carrying a little baby girl. Her and her sister were commenting to the woman how cute her baby was and asked her what her name was and this is how the convo went:

Sisters - What is her name?

Mother - Princess

Sisters - Oh she is a princess, but what did you name her?

Mother - Princess!

Sisters - Her name is Princess?

Mother - Yes!

Finally my neighbour decided to ask - Why did you name her Princess if you don't mind me asking?

Mother - If you have 8 boys before getting a baby girl, you can name her Princess if you damn well want too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
