I know this has been discussed before but I can't find a clear answer. For those of you who have been married at MP, where you able to decide what wording was used for the ceremony? Or change their standard "script"?

You can change the script but I have heard that you take a chance of getting someone performing the ceremony that have language barriers when they stray from their normal wording. Our WC recommended we change as little a possible. We ended up changing the vows only and adding the sand ceremony and got someone that could read English very well.

All, We FINALLY received our complimentary night refund today.... Almost three months after the wedding. The amount is wrong but we received all but $230 of it this morning. Now, our TA is checking on why we didn't get all of it.

 

DH and I have said all along it was a bonus because we were so thrilled with everything about the moon palace, and the wedding AND we did receive the coctail hour and receiption/dance for free. It is nice to get though....... (hehe!!) I've had that money earmarked for some new flooring downstairs in our house.... !!! YEAH!!

Hey Dana C i see you getting married 10-24! Thats soon i'm am getting married Nov 13, 2009 so maybe you can give me some tips when you get back! Hope all you final wedding plans are coming along!

* When did you have your first dance?

 

* What music did you have playing during the cocktail hour?

 

* Did you have dancing AFTER the dinner?

For those of you who got married, how much luggage did you take down with you? Did you give your OOT bags out before you left to Mexico or distribute them all there? I'm getting nervous at the amount of things we are taking down!!

Hey Lady! The blue thing in the Selva Terrace is a pool. My reception was originally booked there, but I chose to move it to the Moon Light Terrace because I didn't want to be next to a pool, even though it was wayyyy big for my group. I know the Tucan overlooks the water - I'm not sure about the other two though!

I had my July 18th reception outdoors from 6 to 10, and the weather was fine. We all loved being outdoors on the ocean - it was the reason we went to Mexico so we really wanted to stay outside. It cooled off really nicely and the breeze was great! We all danced and partied and no one got too hot!

Yes, I did! I added readings and our own vows and took out a few things I thought were a little sexist! It was not a problem.
