I know how ya feel. We still have not got final word from the best man. My MOH and Bridesmaid have changed several times. I know we are guranteed to have 30 guests but it is a far cry from the original 60+ we were expecting. Oh well I wanted a small wedding and boy am I getting it!!!LOL! As the ole saying goes " Be careful what you ask for ...."

well, i'm very lucky that they are all definitely *coming* now (except maybe tom's aunt ... she keeps insisting she is, but i don't see how it's possible), i was just considering telling them they don't have to be *bridesmaids* if they'd rather not. i don't really have a problem with the bridal party being uneven, but i'll feel kinda bad if tom has only a best man, and i have 5 girls, ya know? there are two other guys who are going who he could ask to stand for him, but i'd really like to get it settled before the girls order their dresses.

We had 2 drop from my husband's side and I really didn't care about the uneven thing either but we ended up asking my two brothers to be groomsmen and it was really nice. I think its great to let everyone know that it is okay if they can't afford it, we did that from the get-go, but I would ask more to step in before I'd risk making it sound like I was TOO okay with BM's stepping down. Does that make sense? I just wouldn't want to catch the drift from a bride that it would be quasi-convenient for me to step down-- which you are totally not going for!

My approach to the wedding party seems to be unique: I figured since people would be paying so much to go on the trip that I wouldn't throw any extra cost or pressure on them, not to mention my fiance has been in 12 weddings and we were not going there!! We decided against the wedding party alltogether. I bought my sister a dress (she would be my maid of honor if we did an at home wedding) and it seems that most of the people going would be the people that would have been asked to be in our wedding if we did it at home, so everyone will be our wedding party, they will just get to sit through the ceremony! I know the economy sucks, so I made it clear to everyone that our feelings will not be hurt if they can't come; that way there is no pressure on those that can't afford it.

Okay, so I have been stressing a bit and can't seem to get an answer from my TA or the girls at Dreams. My wedding is scheduled for 7pm in June 2009. Is this too late?? I think we will def do pics before ceremony, but will it be getting dark by 7? Sunset is at 7:30 on that day. Please help!! Jen I know you are at 5:30 or something, but I think I could move it up to 2:30 or so. Then we have the problem of an afternoon reception, which doesn't really appeal to me. Please, any suggestions??

If you do pics before the wedding and the wedding starts at 7. Then there shouldn't be a problem.

This may seem like a silly question - but can someone explain what an apostille document is? Would that be just my original birth certificate? I just want to ensure that I have everything required in order to have the legal ceremony.

I am getting married in June 09 too and will be doing a 7pm wedding (to avoid all the pool people!). I did a site visit and that time seems perfect (sunset, cool outside etc). we are planning to do pics at 5:00, cocktails at 6:00, wedding at 7:00, reception at 7:30.

hope that helps...

Not at all a silly question and it is a little confusing. If you chose to have your legal ceremony at DC you will need to have your documents apostilled. What this means is that your State certifies that it is an original document. They basically verify that the person who signed it is legitimate and all. I tried looking it up for Fredericton NB but didnt have any immediate luck. Do you have anything equivalent to a Secretary of State department? Thats who did it for me.

    • Hi all, My younger sister is 5 months carrying. She is suffering from hearing loss now. She was perfectly alright before she got conceived. But once she got conceived her hearing ability started getting reduced. Is it quite common now? What would be the reason for hearing loss during the pregnancy period? After scanning the doctor said that the baby is underweight. Since she is suffering from severe vomiting, she is not eating any food. Hence she seems to be very weak. The doctor has prescribed a lot of medicines for her to stay healthy and to deliver a healthy baby. In the midst of all these she is also undergoing the treatment under a hearing aid audiologist in order to improve her hearing ability. Will she completely regain her hearing ability?
