I attached a pricing list that my planner gave me, gives you some ideas on prices for the food, space and rentals. I couldn't find the list for the photographer which is soo weird cause I swore I had it but I cant find it!!

I have Maria for a coordinator as well and have tried emailing her 3 times regarding reception costs/dinner options for a February wedding. What are you using in your subject lines that she is opening your emails and responding to you so quickly? :)  I am unable to open the attachment - are you able to email it to me?  arin  at jbealhomes.com - that would be SO helpful since I am unable to get a response!!!

Im working with a planner through another website which has been a bit more helpful but she has also told me that her response time wont be fast.. She sent me info like 2 weeks after i sent an email and i just sent her another one last week and still nothing. She has told me that they focus on the weddings they have at that time and will contact u once they have time.. The resort doesnt usually contact the bride and groom 6 months before there wedding which i find totally stupid.. If u reay want to find out into email Paloma.. She may be able to get u lik more info quicker but no guarntees! [email protected]

I think DJ is included with poolside reception price? That's what I heard on another post....  National Bar: Beer, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Cocktails, Gin, Whisky $2680 USD Special Cocktails: Beer, Piña Colada Cocktail, Margarita Cocktail & Sparkling Wine $1400 This option is for 50 persons maximum , in case there´s more people will have an extra charge. This packages includes 3 hours of open bar, set up, soft lighting, cocktail tables, white tiffany chairs microphone and music DJ.
She sent me two different attachments, one said that and the other was a break down of how much everythig cost per hr.. I think this includes set up for an ipod an speakers.. But i'm not 100% sure l, ive emailed Maria about it and well see what she says cause her orginal attachment was we paid for EVERYTHING by the hr so it would be nice if that pice also included the DJ!

Now I'm confused. 😳 So we can choose the national bar or the special cocktails pool side option??? I don't think it includes DJ. What DJ company do they use??? Can someone post the web info if any? Has anyone done the dessert table? How much? Any web or pics info??? What cake options do we have? Any extra charges? Any pics or info? Some of us can't see the attachments. Can u plz copy and paste? Or email? [email protected] 😊😊😊ðŸ˜

Hi ladies, I'm a newbie to BDW and love all the reviews, tips and info! We have booked our wedding at Gran Bahia principe Akumal for January 2014 and just waiting on response from the wedding coordinator to confirm the date. We booked at the beginning of July, could anyone let me know how long it took your wc to confirm your date. Very anxious bride to be!

The poolside reception DOES include a DJ in the price. I asked that specifically. Katlew, just book your holiday first. They WILL NOT book your wedding if you have not booked your vacation. Then just email Paloma (not sure what email you are using but it's the groupsmx@ one) and wait for a response. Be clear in the email about your arrival and departure date. I'd put something like, "booked and now wedding date required" as your subject line. Request what you want specifically: location, date and time. Once you get a response for your wedding date and time, you will not hear from them again until 4-6 months before the wedding. And that's ok! It's just how it works. You will not be able to book your poolside reception until those 4-6 months ahead, but rest assured it will be fine. I got all up in arms because I hadn't heard from anybody and got an email from Paloma stating she tells the coordinators to focus on the short-term only, because otherwise the volume of weddings is just impossible to deal with at once - which makes sense. There literally aren't enough hours in the day for those ladies and they do work very hard but just sucks to wait. It will be fine!!! Haha says the girl who was freaking out about waiting and then realized within a couple of emails it all just came together :)

And yes, you can choose special cocktails only OR a national bar. Most people say they paid for the cheaper option and got access to all alcohols anyway though, so it's a gamble. I'm not a risk taker so I'm paying for the full bar just in case. Not having access to shots CANNOT happen at my wedding. Lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
