I just spoke to a Bride who was married in the Mayan Riviera in November, she said that she purchased her maracas in Playa del Carmen for $1-2, so if the Hacienda is expensive you can head down to Playa!

Is this true?  Has anyone bought them there before?  I swear that I saw a post where someone thought they were cheaper, but, can't find it now.  I'm also wondering if anyone knows if the Hacienda sells starfish?  I'd need about 20 of them.

    Thanks,

    Sarah

I'm curious about the Starfish too - I've heard it can be a hassle to bring them into the country so if i'm able to get some while down there i'd rather go that route!!

Also, we rented extra lights from the resort (you can also pick different colors)- Eugenia coordinated it with the resort!

Cynlee - I find it  surprising that this infomration isn't available. I went on Air Transats website the other day and tried searching for flights in and around our departure date and was told that info wasn't even available yet. Hopefully we get an update soon!

I've asked Eugenia about renting the lights and sound system, so i'll let you know what she says :). My TA said the same thing about Air transat. Hopefully, they release the flight info soon... our big day is coming soon!! lol

Air transat didnt release their flight times until 30 days before my group was to depart. And 2 months before departure the flights got bumped by 2 days so instead of them leaving on the friday, they ended up leaving on the sunday, which sucked for hubby and i cuz we didn't get our 3 day honeymoon like planned, we got a 1 day one :P So, just a warning, air transat can change their flights at any time

Yes, we found a photographer. We really liked Chris’s work but he a little out of our price point. We ended up securing a local photographer that has done some work for a couple friends.

I’m also interested in renting the sound & light equipment for the reception. Based on the last review and what I’ve read from other posts, I’m not quite sold on their DJ.

Hey, I was just wondering if we are limited to the two options for the wedding dinner at the a la cartes? We are staying at the Akumal so I think our choices are the Dolce Vita and Frutos del Mar, but wanted to know if anyone else was able to eat at another restaurant.

            Thanks!

Crystalz - I hope they don't change anything, it's been enough of a fight to get our flights straightened out as it is!

We are also staying at Akumal and were giving the choice of Arlequin for our dinner.

Hi Girls, I was wondering if anyone had a list of the resorts daily activities. Like beach volley to dancing. I would like to include these in my welcome book to my guests. Thank you :)

Really?  Did they just hang them from the palapas or were they actually strung up over the  area?

Also does anyone know the prices for getting your hair done and a mani/pedi at the spa?  I think the price lists are on here or the official thread, but I don't have enough posts to download anything yet.
