I've heard people say they ended up going with a symbolic wedding just because it was easier. I thought all that you needed was a passport,a tourist card, and blood test to be done at the resort for $90. Then they mail you your marriage certificate in 3months. Is there something I am missing that makes this difficult? Thanks for any input!

Hey Maria would you be able to email the Spa prices to Trisha (Tlseege) and she can post them on here for all to see.

Many thanks in advance

Already done :)  They are in the Official thread.  Here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/75549/official-gran-bahia-principe-riviera-maya-thread#post_1663897

Let me know if there is something specific that I didn't list out.  There are a million massages and such, so I didn't list those all.

It depends on the season.  In November, they were terrible!!!!  In January when I went, a few guests had problems, but only when they walked on the beach or in the sand.  In April, not a bug to be found.

So, I'd err on the side of caution and perhaps provide OFF wipes?  Easy to pack and easy to use.

Some of our guests booked in advance and I would recommend it. We didn't book in advance and were unable to make any reservations earlier than midnight. We ended up taking to Jazmin about it and she made a couple for us that were for 10:00pm.

Hi, I have been trying to decide on footwear for myself and my bridesmaids!  I have not been outside of Canada ever so I am not sure what the beaches are like.  We are getting married at the akumal location!  Are flip-flops impossible to walk in and is the sand to hot to walk on?  We are getting married at 4pm.  The girls would like to go barefoot but someone mentioned the sand would be to hot1? Any thoughts

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
