I too have booked Claudia R. for our photos and video without knowing anything about the new resort policy. I have been emailing the my WC and the resort photographer, but haven't received an answer. I will be quite upset with the resort if they don't allow us to have Claudia.....seeing as we have placed a $200 deposit and the resort never said that it wasn't allowed.

If anyone receives an actual answer, please pass on the message. Thanks!

At the bottom right have corner of each post there are 3 little buttons. The MQ one is to do a "multi-quote" like I've done here. You click the MQ on each post you want to respond to and then MQ and quote on the last one.

 

To quote just one message just click the quote button and you should be good to go.

I am getting excited about my dress though. I just put took my reception dress to the drycleaners. I bought it on e-bay so it got a little dirty during shipping. Thats fine thought because I still save liek $200 on the dress.

I emailed the new resort photographer and this was their response:

 

 

The way we work, is we book you for the basic package (36 pictures for 540 dollars).Even though, we will take the following secuence:

* Pictures of the bride getting ready

* Pictures of the ceremony

* Family and friends photo session

* Bride and groom photo session.

 

The day of the wedding, the photographer will give you a time and date of the presentation of his work. This day, we will prepare an incredible slide show with pictures black and white, sepia, color, etc.

In the end, the photographer woll create different packages with products and prices that will vary, in order to satisfy your needs and be positive you´re taking home wat you desire.

 

We will set a delivery date and at that moment is when you´ll be paying for the materiall you receive

 

We will be setting a meeting after you meet your wedding coordinator, so you meet the photographer, see some of his workj, meet me, and reasure you´ll be sound and happy.

 

 

I asked for a portfolio or examples and they sent a total of 3 pictures posted below. Hmmmmmm

The second dress....is that for when you get home? I was just going to wear the same dress....but some of those pictures in the water are so awesome I am thinking about trying to find a second dress to use for that. I don't want to wreck my real one...I admit I am a keeper of such things! What the devil I will do with it, who knows, but I wanna keep it:)

Yes... I did ask for some additional samples.. I do not want to spend $540 let alone $1000 plus if I do not feel confident with the photographer's experience/vision... I'm a graphic designer... been in the artistic field my whole life... i have a specific vision for my photographs. I don't want to settle. Not that I think choosing the resort photographer is 'settling' but I want to have a choice in the matter! If I at least see some visual examples I will probably feel better with the lack of choice/control...

I received the EXACT email from the resort.

I am quite frustrated because I booked Claudia before I ever heard of the resort changing their policy.......I feel that the resort should have to allow outside vendors that are already booked (and paid for!) and then set a date where they will enforce their new policy.

I have no problem using the resort photographer, but don't think they can commit to having our video by our AHR.......Claudia did guarantee our video by this time.

Hoepfully if we all keep asking questions (and unfortunately make this difficult for them) they will break and let us keep our vendors.
