I had mine on a Saturday only because we have a lot of family in JA and they are working and going to school so we had to consider that.

If most of my family would have been coming down with me I would have probably done it in the middle of the wk.

Something else to consider, is when would you be flying out.

There were only flights out of Toronto, Canada on Sat, Sun or Mon to get a package deal. We went on a Monday. It worked out great for me and gave me enough time to relax and get everything together, but you may want to have yours early to give you more time to relax after the wedding.

Haven't had mine yet but its on thurs Jan 22/09. Funny eh??
I think it will turn out good as we will arrive the saturday so it leaves lots of time to make arrangements with the coordinator and have some fun with ours guests.

Same as Ochoriobride, except I havent gotten married yet! when it came time to pick a date for April we were only stuck with Tuesdays and Fridays. I prefered the Tuesday because most of our guests will be leaving on the Saturday and that wouldnt have been fun for them to wake up to if we had it on the Saturday.

We are having it on a Sat only b/c lots of family and friends are teachers or are still in college. Some just don't have alot of vacation and other have young kids so they can only come for a long weekend.

Saturday just worked the best for them so that's what we did - if it was just us we'd do the middle of the week - less crowds.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
