2: If a couple had their ceremony on the beach, is it roped off or separated in any way so that randoms won't show in the picture?

Thanks! Kelly
Hi Kelly,

Thanks! :)

I know they can have more than one ceremony a day but I don't remember actually seeing it happen. There aren't really that many weddings at The Royal in general, you can probably even see that from this forum. They don't have a one wedding a day policy but at the same time, I have never seen more than one wedding, if there even is a wedding, per day.

There is a really nice Royal bride on here named Becky. She was a bride before me and got married on the beach. She even has pictures on here. I'm sure if you found her and asked her she could probably give you the best advice about a beach wedding ceremony at The Royal. I messaged her a couple times before my wedding and she was super nice.

Hi Antonia,

your wedding looked fabulous! Congratulations!!!

We, too, are looking at having a Catholic ceremony in Playa del Carmen. Can you please let us know how you went about booking the church? Did you contact them directly or go through a third-party?

Did you consider any of the other churches in Playa Del Carmen or were they too far from Royal Playa Del Carmen Resort?

Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

(off to look at your photos again...)

Hi Kelly,

fyi, I spoke with someone from Real Resorts today and was told I could only have the beach wedding the day I requested because the Gazebo was already booked. So, they book at least two per day.

Thank you for letting me know that! Ahh, now at least i know another question to my ask my planner about which locations would be available. I really wanted a resort that only performs one wedding a day but i've heard such awesome things about The Royal that I'm heavily looking into it.

I just booked my wedding and was told there can be up to 6-8 weddings a day, but they assured me that when I was getting married there would be no other wedding on the beach at the same time..there might be one in the gazebo at the same time but not on the beach and that is the same with the reception.
I was also told that all of the friday's and saturdays were booked for the month of may 2009...whew that is a lot of brides.
My wedding will be on a wed because the thursday, friday and saturday were fully booked.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
