veil or no veil-that is the question

Recommended Posts

I knew for sure I was wearing a flower - but I was undecided with the veil. At the last minute I borrowed my friends veil just to have it with me in case I wanted it and I'm so glad that I did!! Like someone earlier said, it really made me feel like a bride! It was the best last minute decision I made!

So, maybe have it as an option "just in case"!!

Veil and hair flower. At first I didn't want a veil because I thought they were too traditional for me so was just gonna go with the flower. But I've decided to wear my hair back and I'll have the flower sort of off to the side a bit and I have a really long, flowy veil (I think it's chiffon) that I'll wear low at the nape of my neck. I plan to lose it for the reception though.

I just think it depends on what you really want. To me with doing a destination wedding all the traditions are out the door. So if you want to do a veil then do it!! if not, get a flower or the birdcage veil. I didn't want to do the veil but I think I will only for my MIL. but i'm still gonna have my flower.

I am still undecided -- I go back and forth about wearing a veil. I never really wanted to, but now that I am getting closer, I do feel that it will complete the "bride"look. That being said, I can't bring myself to spend a lot of money on somethign I'm not 100% about!! bahh.

I am actually doing 2 veils and a tiara! Both veils are very thin and only one layer each. One veil is a cathedral length and I always wanted one so I put it on and I couldn’t say no. The second goes to my finger tips and had a gold embroidery that matches my dress so I didn’t want to say no to that one either. And I feel in love with the tiara. The tiara is small and not very big so it doesn’t look like too much on me and the veils actually look like one piece instead of two.

For the wind issue (which I heard Aruba has a lot of) I am getting that Hollywood wedding tape and taping the veil to me so it doesn’t blow around and stays where it should while I am wearing it. It is only staying on for the ceremony and half the pictures, but I don’t want to play around with it. I am only going to wear the tiara all night.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
