Thanks, Julie. I hope I do not have a huge baby!!

Karma - that's great news. I bet it felt good to go ahead and take the test for your peace of mind.

I just called the doctors office to ask for results, but the nurse was busy and I had to leave a message. She called at 2pm last time with bad news, so I'm hoping since she hasn't called - I may be in the clear. Fingers crossed!

What week is officially the 3rd trimester?

Yeah, I like to think no news is good news. My doc got the results yesterday but just called this morning (since it was negative).

27 weeks is considered 3rd trimester! You're almost there too!

Mo - I'm so sorry that things are still so bad for you. Have you been feeling any better since you got home from the hospital?

Karma - I'm glad to hear the test was negative.

Lisa - Keep us updated on your results.

I'm so glad that I'm almost to the 2nd trimester. I've had a relatively easy 1st trimester, but it will just ease my mind to be past the riskiest stage of the pregnancy. Only 1 more week to go!

Good news, Karma and Lisa!

I got my results back and I am negative too! My yeast culture also came back negative, so that lowers the babies chance of getting meningitis or jaundice. Yay!

But.....I have been having a heck of a time catching my breath. I am not gasping or anything, just not able to catch a full breath of air. I called my doc and the nurse said that it is probably just the baby pushing up on my diaphram. I figured it was, but I thought it was too early for that?

Question, what do Braxton Hicks feel like? I know like contractions, but can someone explain it to me that has actually felt them?

I have been having them for a while. They feel different at different times. Sometimes it just feels like a tightening or cramping pain in my belly sometimes at the bottom, sometimes in the middle. And sometimes it feels like I have to run to the bathroom, like I have diarrhea pains and I need to go really badly, but then I get there and nothing, but still the pain. My doctor said both of these pains are BH, not sure why they are different at different times, but that is how I feel them.

That is great news Lisa that it was negative. I had a feeling that would be the result, but I am glad to know that you don't have to worry about it.

Martha - For me the BH feel uncomfortable but not painful. My whole stomach tightens up and gets hard as a rock. Sometimes they take my breath away and I have to take deep breaths. I don't remember them at all with my first pregnancy, but this time they are happening at least a few times a day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
